bajazz
I just put up my new HDTV, put in the hd cables (blue, green, red or whatever), switched the display cable to HDTV and changed my display settings (on xbox settings) to 1080i (i live in europe) the problem is, when I put in Saints Row to test the fantastic HD tv, my character appears to be taller and skinnier than before. The entire TV screen is filled so it has nothing to to with my TV screen settings (you know, wide, zoom, 16:9 etc.) I dont want GTA 4 to have wrong settings, so everything is stretched. Is there something I can do to fix this problem?

TBaT
On the xbox dashboard go to System > Console Settings > Display > Screen Format. Change the format to widescreen, cause it sounds like you have it on normal. Oh and for the poster above me, the cables he is using are the RBG which are component, not composite and can display up to 1080i.

You need a HDMI cable if you want HD. Does your 360 have a HDMI slot or is it an older model?

BucMan1B
Is your TV widescreen? (16:9) Or no? (4:3) If it is 4:3 then you just need to set your TV to letterbox with the black bars on top/bottom.

TBaT
Try changing the screen format to widescreen before changing it to hdtv and 1080i. I just have a SDtv so I just have it set to 480p and normal and I am able to access it. Maybe set yours to that, change it to widescreen, then change it to HDTV and 1080i. That's all I can think of.
