Of course i know that GTA4 uses euphoria but in essence it's still a method of doing ragdoll, smarter, i give you that but it is still just ragdoll.

Do you know what Euphoria is? It gives the body a nervous system that reacts to its environment. Ragdoll is just a limp body.

Saints Row was fun, but I found a lot of it to be repetitive. I didn't even bother finishing it. And when you bear in mind that there will be expansion packs released for GTA 4, probably around the time SR2 is coming out, I think a lot of people won't see the point in buying SR2. I'm pretty sure I won't.

 

It can't compete with GTA 4, so will have to try to offer something very different, which I doubt it will. The slapstick comedy is funny, but not nearly as clever as the comedy in the GTA series.

anyone noticed in SR theres a character called Gat. Not only have they ripped off GTA but they rearranged the letters and named a character after it

noticed? that has to be the most annoying character in any game ever... I wanted to kill him so bad...

SR2 = SR1 with some new moves and weapons...no big deal.

I think theyre thinking they must have done something right for the master to steal stuff from it, health replenishment from food, health bar around the radar, mobile phone, similar ragdoll physics extensions (flying through windshield etc).

 

Tbh i don't see why people bash saints row, theres room for more than one sandbox game in the world and saints row adds enough variety to the genre to justify itself.

ok, u could heal with food in previous missions... saints row took the flying through ya windshield from flatout! gta doesnt use ragdoll!, it uses euphoria!

lol I wouldn't say the eating to get health would be stealing. There was eating in SA just you didn't get health, and every f*cking restaurant SR has is a rip off of one in GTA. The health thing is not a rip off...the radar is not new Driver 1 had a GPS like that way back on ps2 just wasn't as good...the phone is not new either GTA III had phones just you couldn't use them...The physics aren't ragdoll they are a hundred times better and it also isn't stolen if it was because a lot of games use RD. Anyway I'm just finishing up on SR, getting the achievements, so that i would have no reason to come back to that crap. Also yes all the good people have left but I don't play the MP anyway, it is too f*cking slow.

no your wrong, you definitely got health in SA, but anyway, if you call anything from saints row, beside maybe the insurance fraud, original, you are mistaken, as I played sandbox games that have done everything it has. such as everything from SA, then the rag doll through the windshield from flatout, elements taken from the driver series, things like cell phone calls (the CALL not having a phone) were somewhat original, like calling 911, but the phone existed in SA, without so much of a game play usage.

 

but i wouldn't discount Saints row as a pure copycat, it is fun to play and added a lot of things that make it worth playing, i mean the insurance fraud sure was fun!

lol i thought you didn't get health because I never used it for that reason. Anyway the fact of the matter is that SR has robbed GTA (not saying it's a completely bad thing but whatever) and GTA decided to expand upon some features it already had... But seriously I couldn't believe it when I saw the Chop Shop Activity... It was fun...but not really good.

i saw the trailer of that game today.. surprisingly, it's actually one i'm looking forward to. but yea.. even that kicks saints row's ass. saints row is just really cartoony, it's just not gonna be very successful at all unfortunately.
