steelsmokin07
People who have by now played GTA either by a cracked version or early release put something to bed for me. As I figured they don't because I don't think R* creating one of the best games ever would ever slouch to lazyness, do all of the license plates in GTA4 say Liberty City or do they actually have numbers. None of the leaked videos of the game I've seen have the video quality for me to tell and in brand new screen shots all of the plates still say "Liberty City" so I was just curious. Leo Colt
They all say LIBERTY CITY for some really weird reason. I don't think they were lazy (they could have just used the code from SA somehow), they just didn't include different license plates for some reason. scmjr913
I can see this fixed by a patch or this is one of the DLC for us 360 owners...lol But if not no big deal but I seen this being used on the police computer system...type in a plate and say it's stolen or whatnot...the fun that could of been had
.Up&Coming.
Yeah, they all say Liberty City. I find that really stupid. Edit: Oh, and I think it's really evil that they got rid of the WASTED! thing. That was a GTA thing and they got rid of it... Does it still say BUSTED! when you get caught? Or, is it just black and white like when you die? Edited April 27, 2008 by .Up&Coming.

chitoryu12
And what difference does it make on the overall experience? Are you going to drop your score a point because you don't have individual license plates? Idiotas.
RedKarnage
DLC license plates? What a waste of time and money. Who cares if they all say Liberty City. Why does it matter, not like your going to be taking license plate numbers.
VCNMaverick
It just made it look more realistic. I wanted individual license plates (I figure if they're in SA, why not put them here?). But I figure it will irk me the first time I see it, then I'll completely forget about it. That sucks that they took out the "Wasted" thing, that's been there since the first one. It's a shame, that was one of the GTA trademarks, and now they got rid of it. Pretty lame if you ask me
Leo Colt
Does it still say BUSTED! when you get caught? Or, is it just black and white like when you die? Nope. The screen goes to black and white. They also got rid of the "Mission Passed/Failed" messages, which I find really annoying as they are useful!
josh995
They all say Liberty City. License plates shouldn't even matter... Why are so many people so upset about it? They aren't even a major part of the game! I guess people just have to find SOMETHING to complain about.
rozachi blue
You have to look at the big picture. Rockstar has all sorts of deadlines and financial constraints. I could care less if a car has individual plate numbers. I would rather Rockstar spend time and money on things like giving every single street it's own name or things that are relevant. Plus the sheer difficulty in supplying a fake city full of an infinte amount of cars with individual plate numbers is ridiculous.

If I didn't read your post, I would have never known SA had individual plates. That shows how important they are to me. LOL
