There is no traffic at all in this video....... i dont believe at an intersection in NY during the day there wouldnt be any cars. So much for rockstar studying hours of traffic patterns

Yeah, they did their research, but it doesn't alyways translate every second of every playthrough. The best example will likely be police behavior. Rockstar spoke to police officers and hope to create a more realistic set of behaviors, but does that mean we will for sure have smarter cops that will change the game in a noticeable way? No, it means they will try to make that happen. For traffic, they did the research and did what they could- doesn't mean it will materialize as they wish.

well i just watched the gta 4 gameplay on g4 x-play and while the player was running from the cops (in star junction , saw the name) they ran into about id say 10-15 cars driving down the road at a stop light it was day time but i think it was earlier tha rush hour still quite a few cars were in that pack

Thats because its from the 360 version of the game which does not have enough power to pump it all. (I read a review)
