rollerball34
Electronic Arts has extended its offer to buy take-two interactive the video game company behind Grand Theft Auto IV to May 16.EA has amended its offer to $16.43 per share in order to take into consideration the issuing of additional shares to Zelnick media, Thomas financal news reports. The company says that its aggregate valued for shares in take-two, valued at $2 billion cash, remains unchanged.''EA countinues to believe that the offer is full and fair, and that a transaction between take-two and EA is the best combination finacially, strategically and operationally for all parties'' an EA spokesman said. EA are trying to buy take-two again along with the gta franchise the motherf*ckers.Do you think take-two will give in to this offer

PS3Fanatic
I certainly hope not. EA are known for rushing games out and treating their employees like slaves. The current Rockstar and Take Two combination is already near perfection as we all know. When it's all about money, quality usually goes down the drain. assassinsblade
another thing is that medal of honour airboarne actually looked like it might be a good game but then..i guess they probably spent 6months on the parachuting bit and 2 days on the combat.(BTW EA the combat was still the main part of the game) EA used to make some OK games but they havent moved on much since... danny275
Just wondering about something, as rockstar are the developers (rockstar north, rockstar leeds in previous games) and the publisher. Why would EA get control of GTA if they took over T2, whois the distributor of the game? Just a question really, no need for flaming

boogernut
wait a second. Aside from EA having some cruddy games in the past, and mistreating their employees, what is really that bad? If they bought take two the majority of people likely would stay because they wouldn't want to screw up an already well setup company/group. It might not be that bad, EA is a big company and has a large amount of resources. Your thoughts about their past games aside, it might actually be a good idea. I think they just want the game and therefore, if they were smart, they would buy the company/game and let that be a company within EA that basically runs on its own. I think it's a good idea. Take Two and GTA and R* get a large amount of resources and become part of a bigger company, and make the same great games as usual, if not better. Becoming part of EA will not decrease the quality of games, it just means they might have to respond to someone bigger/someone bigger will make a profit off them. It shouldn't destroy the games, but rather possible get them a bigger crowd and more money and resources to use, so it's actually a GOOD idea. but if someone gives me a very good reason aside from "they treat their employees like slaves with deadlines" (which i've heard as being true but they wouldn't be stupid enough to do to a company that would bring them great success) and "when did they not have a crappy game" (which actually isn't exactly true, they have one of the most successful series of sports games and Medal of Honor isn't too bad..... Need for Speed (while i hate it) isn't too bad, (**note i am pretty sure they own those games) ) then i would like to hear it so i can understand why everyone is against it plus they and the shareholders get a nice payoff with being bought which makes me think, you have to think of the shareholders who have the final say, chances are, in the end, once the price goes up the people of the board are going to vote in favor of it for the money (i'm just warning you, because alot of those shareholders are in it for the money/will seize a good opportunity)

I might actualy agree with the guy 2 posts above now but i still hate EA. Edited April 27, 2008 by LunaticBrandon

Despite how much you may hate EA you have to look at both sides of the issue. I am completely open to people not liking EA, it's just some of the benefits (like i tried to touch upon above) are very nice, and if anyone has any other reasons other than the fact that EA treats employees like slaves and doesn't have that many good games, please tell me so i can understand where some of this argument is coming from.... EA does NOT make quality games... period. On top of that EA has a really crappy online system that trys to track stats across all EA games, but it's really sh*tty, and half the time doesn't even work for me, and I have a good connection. We should make a petition to tell EA to f*ck off and leave R* and take two alone! They would probably start demanding little expansion packs almost like the LCS and VCS, but 5 times as many of them.
