xNamexTakenx
I was wondering, which type of health meter do you guys prefer? Do you like the health bars from SA and its successors (SA, LCS, VCS) or do you like the classic health meters from SA's predecessors (GTA 3, VC)? Personally, I preferred the health bars because it is easier to read and works better. It makes more sense to use them, too. I don't really like the "classic GTA" health meters in GTA 3 and VC because they are quite annoying and quite frankly, a little hard to read IMO. They just really annoy me! But, everybody has their own opinion. I want to hear your guys' opinion. So. Which one did you like better? P.S. Don't think about just the health, but also the armor. gtamodder
I liked the ones from SA Better then the one in GTA3 And VC, Because to me it seemed better to me.
Flesh-n-Bone
SA, LCS and VCS had better ones. I just always want full health and if a little bit goes down from your health/armor in the classic version it goes down quickly, in SA it's better. Rashon.
The health meters of the past three GTAs were harder to read for me since you never knew how much health/armor you had exactly. GTA III and Vice City's were better IMO.
devilrock28
IMO, the life bars from the 3 previous GTA games were great. Even if you didn't know exactly how much health was left. Health bars ftw!
Protonkid
Make sense please. Yes, the healthbars are more convenient. Percentage doesn't show with what speed does your health reduce, so you can't calculate how much time is left for you
radicell
Yeah, "bars" just makes more sense to me than "numbers" when it comes to health.
iLusion
yes like most other people i think the bars are more convenient. They are alot easier to read and in san andreas, you health can go up
QwertyAAA
GTA IV and VC. Offtopic: What was the radar cop car icon from HUD.TXD of GTA III used for?

Wouldn't it be better to ask that question in the GTA 3 section?

!!GC!!
I'd prefer a combination of a Armour Meter with a Health Bar. I really liked VC's Armour one in blue but the Health was a little harder to read and i'd like to see exactly how much armour i have left. I'd have the the health meter just cos its easy to quickly glance at in the heat of a battle.
Bad~Boy#17
SA style health bars FTW ! I really hated the VC numbers and for GTA IV ... Really sh*tty health bar/indicator for a next gen game.
radicell
I'd have the the health meter just cos its easy to quickly glance at in the heat of a battle. That's a point I was trying to make. In VC missions like Death Row or Cannon Fodder, where shootouts took place, I would glance at my health and get confused as to what it was - 130, 133, 030, 103, 131, 031, 013, etc.? By the time I had registered how much health I actually had left, it had dropped to 000 and I was wasted. With the SA-style health bar, I could just glance up, see a quarter of the meter left, and plan the mission accordingly. It would take no more than a second. daviescirca93
SA health bars, VC and III's bars just confused the f*ck outta me, pretty much what radicell said. SA health & armor bars;
