Will i be able to walk in off the streets

I cant make midnight launches ect but will i be able to walk in the day after and buy it? Or will it likely be sold out?

I suppose it depends on where you live and so on, bigger the city the more people who want it, but I've no idea my friend I guess you'll just ahve to wait and see!

if you've reserved a copy or pre-ordered, it'll be safe.

unlikely! the game store in my town have had so many pre-orders that they have no games to put on the shelf

Don't bother with the shops that take preorders. The idiots get 1000 reservations and only get like 20 extra copies. It's crazy. Go to Walmart, kmart, etc. as early as you can and hope to find a copy. IMO, It should be just as easy to get new games these days as new release movies, since they're just pressed discs and not cartridges anymore. Assuming the stores in your area order a decent amount, you should have a chance of finding a copy.
