xXSh4d0wB4n3Xx
Ok first of all, I am from the US and have (or HAD) a US Premium Xbox 360 console (NTSC). I live in Indonesia as an expatriate (my dad works with Chevron), and used to play xbox by plugging it into a transformer, because here power is 220V, not 110V. I knew I was risking problems with my 360 because it says in the pamphlet in the bundle the Xbox comes in, not to plug it in to transformers. That wasnt really an option for me so i played knowing that it could break.. Anyway, now it is dead. I don't know if it is that some vital internal component is blown or if its just some minor wiring inside, but I'd rather not go through the lengthy process of taking it back to the US and sending it off to be repaired, only for it to be recommended that I just by a new one. So I'm wondering if I should just get an Arcade Version (as I already have the hard drive, controllers, and headset from the other one), premium one, or an Elite. Money is not really an issue as my parents have promised to buy me one when we get back. I just want to know which one runs better, and has less risk of crashing or RROD. I am only asking for comparisons of consoles, I dont care about any of the other goodies that come with the premium cause I already have them. Also, I'd like to know about the whole HD thing. Here's how I understand it: The Arcade and Premium versions come with HD cables, so u can play HD on an HDTV. The Elite has HDMI cables, and plays in HIGHER DEF than an Xbox would with HD cables Correct me if im wrong cause im all rather confused by it. Oh and note that I'm moving to Brazil, so when I get this new Xbox i wont be forced to plug it into a transformer, as Brazil has 110V power. So I don't need any lectures on playing it in the right voltage.. Anyway if you could include like an explanation with ur answers instead of like just saying 'Arcade' or w/e Thanks for your time, and sorry about my extensive parentheses use and bad grammar towards the end. Long day. Edited April 27, 2008 by xXSh4d0wB4n3Xx
xXSh4d0wB4n3Xx
What sucks is that I won't get to play GTAIV till the summer. Unless I go to a friend's house..but then they'll pry kill me if I try to pry the controller from their hands..

mupet0000
The Elite will not play Higher-def than a standard xbox 360 with a HDMI cable. I say get the Arcade and put your hard drive and controllers back with it. Microsoft said the RROD is fixed on the newer consoles (though I don't believe them). The only difference between the Elite and a standard 360 is the bigger hard drive and that its black.
xXSh4d0wB4n3Xx
Alright but what about chances of system failure or RROD? Any more/less likely on any version of the Console? If there isn't any i'll go ahead with the Arcade, but if you have anything else to mention about RROD that would be nice. Thanks guys..
