I've kept the fact that i'm excited about the game quiet...so my boss has no idea, I've already told him I can't come in tuesday because I'm busy doing uni assignments that are due. If your coworkers know you are stoked about the 29th and IV, it may be wise to show self control and go into work, and maybe drop some jokes "hey, I could be home 'sick' playing IV right now, but I love this job that much. Raise?" lol Depending on your bosses and coworkers, this might amount to beneficial charm. Play your cards. But if you habitually call off, for any reason, you can get bad references. It wouldn't be that he called off SICK, it'd be that he called off. So it'd either be "Yea, he called off once sick." or "Yea, he called off every time there was a new damn game acting sick." Most places will never give a bad reference anyhow for these reasons: 1: No responsible employer wants to hold people back, and it *usually* takes responsibility to be "the one they'll call and ask" 2: Most people operate with the golden rule (treat others the way you want to be treated) 3: It's 2008 and you just might kill them. lol. @mupet: You must not ride many busses jk Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
