I placed my order on 2nd May 2007, almost a year ago - I did not recieve it today as promised, yet I'm looking on here and see that people who ordered a few days ago have already had it delivered! So much for "The product will be dispatched on a first come first served basis" that Play has written on their website. Utter bull, I've just cancelled another £300 worth of orders, and will not be using them again. Popped out this morning to locate a copy, and all bar my local small Woolworths were sold out. I now have a copy - thank god! Happy playing lads, and don't forget to complain to Play if you didn't recive it! dando89 Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 I havnt recieved my copy, and i ordered in july last year, i just rang and gave them an earfull, they said their system went wrong and said they were posted on 24th and 25. when actually thats the date they got them in and they were sent on the 28th. I didn't even get the chance to hurl abuse at her Guess everyone is giving them hell,and deservedly so!Keep it up!heh. At least she did one thing right - she advised me that "if I was in a hurry,go to a shop and by a copy,then return the Play's 'whenever' it gets delivered". Which I'd do if the damn shops actually stocked Special Editions...... Play.com can rot in hell.Cancelled my preorders and removed them from My Favourites. I have no beef with people who actually recieved theirs - you lucky LUCKY people - but I do take contention with such diametrically opposed quality of service on what is,essentially,the SAME product.Why,play,WHY???!!! did they think they could cover their arses by shipping 5 or 10 percent on release day,and that noone would notice? I rang them to see what the deal is with the delivery... they said it would be released on 2/5/08. Depending on stock levels it might get despatched that day, and might be with me in 2-3 days after that. Well, they're out of stock of the 360 version! When you also factor in the bank holiday... it doesn't look too good! What made it worse is that they couldn't tell me when it would likely be delivered! How they expect you to sign for a delivery (a delivery which will only be sent to the billing address) when you don't know the delivery date is beyond me! After reading through this I'm still hoping to get my copy today, got 1 hour untill 5pm... so maybe, but oh well, if not, hopefully tomorrow. Hope those who have it are enjoying it! People always hit out in disappointment, but once everyone has it and played it to death, people will go back if they have a stunning deal.
