I don't want spoilers of any kind. I want to see gameplay on my terms: At about 1 am, after driving home from Gamestop, on my LCD screen in the comfort of my living room. With a drink in my hand. And it will be MY gameplay footage. We have waited this long; I am prepared to wait 5 more days. So you can keep your gameplay footage. I'm not intrested. Does anyone else feel the same way? Sure it might spoil some of the stuff... but I'm pretty sure doing it all myself will still be pretty fulfilling. Plus there's loads more I'll experience playing it myself and by getting into the story and getting into other islands. If by Monday people are posting videos of the other islands... I cant believe the amount of people who have waited this long for the game, only to spoil it (some feel they have spoilt it) for themselves a week before release. Does anyone else feel the same way? well i do feel the same way... but I don't have that much self control. While I haven't been indulgently doing nothing but sitting here watching the videos... I couldn't help myself from watching a little bit of a few. Don't feel like I spoiled to much for myself as what I saw was all in Broker and the screenshots have all covered that area in pretty great detail. I did find out how you get from Broker up onto the Broker Bridge which doesn't sound like a big deal... but i think it would have been fun to find that on my own. Maybe it's because I'm from New York and I've been over the Brooklyn Bridge a million times... but it makes me a little sad. While on that subject I am blown away by the atmosphere... South Central Los Santos and Vice City are put to shame. It looks so much like Brooklyn... from the overhead train to the highway that looked just like BQE.... it made me so happy. The other thing is the game is absolutely beautiful... the screen shots and cinema shots don't do it justice... the movement in actual gameplay in normal view is smoother than anything i've ever seen. Seeing something in person you have only seen in magizine pictures. Not knowing where anything really is. Sure, I've seen the leaked map, but I liken that to Niko looking over a LC map on his way to America. To each their own. I'm not trying to preach or anything. I don't buy many games (maybe 2-3 per year). That's why I want my IV experience to be as rich as possible. Any other I have watched anything I can find, but I want to experience GTA on MY HDTV, in MY front room, with MY copy, as Rockstar intended me too. I'll keep an eye here for summaries of the major reviews, but I don't wanna know about the gameplay videos. For one, watching the video of someone playing the game is not the same thing as actually doing it yourself. Two, I will say that if anything it seemed more realistic, and R* has been saying that about the new driving model for months; that if you use the e-brake every chance you get you will spin out. Different? Sure. Bad? I think it will just take a little time to get used to, and as i said the way everything moves, be it Niko or the cars, looks amazingly realistic. Without spoiling it for those who haven't seen anything.... YOU'LL LOVE THIS f*ckING GAME!!! I PROMISE YOU THAT!!! The physics are better than even I had hoped. The A.I. is excellent (I had reservations that the AI would be dumb). The graphics (even on vids with sh*tty picture quality) are the best that I've ever seen on a console. I've opened loads of gameplay videos but haven't watched any yet, nor will I. With the first leaked video, I looked at 2 sections for 1 second but that's all. The guy was driving something that is not known for it's sports car handling yeah and he was also flooring the car around exit ramps and down crowded city blocks at 70 miles per hour trying to avoid sh*t with just the e-brake... so yeah he was fishtailing and crashing into all kinds of sh*t... but y'know... that's happens if you drive like that. I want the room quiet, a beer in hand and the luxury of exploring at my own place. The launch is going to be crazy here - they are expecting over 150 people!! Obviously I won't watch hours of footage else I might as well not have bought the game.. I've seen the game, I'm happy - looks fun - few things here and there that I really like the look of *potential spoilers for video abstainees*: Shotgun is brutal, Bodys move when shot on floor, Cops still shoot Niko when he's dead just to make sure Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
