Just been watching a live Xbox360 feed for 2 hours

For the past 2 hours I've been watching a streaming feed of GTA4 being played on an Xbox 360. I found some interesting things out and had some questions answered. Heres what i managed to uncover in my and others on the sites, opinion:

 

Pop Up Problems-. personally didnt see any, The buildings appear in foucs from way back and nothing seemed bad, it was smooth and even if there was slight lag. Who cares. Its a game. Games arent perfect.

 

Driving Issues- All this stuff about iffy driving controls is BS. I watched tha player use about 15 different vehicles including, SUV, Standard Car, SPorts cars, Ambulance, Police cars and an Oil Truck.

 

The vehicles performance depend on the vehicle itself. Whislt some of the rubbish cars etc seemed a bit quirky and loose, the better cars or heavier vehicles eemed much more stable and he was able to traverse traffic jams with ease.

 

Physics-. They seemed spot onto me. When Niko gets in a fight, the opponent actually stubles, falls back and retaliates in different ways. He fought this fat guy and he tripped over on the kerb and smacked his head on a bench and died.

 

That real enough for ya?

 

 

Pedestrian Issues- As me and other people discussed it sems that the different amount of Peds differ from area to area. In some places he went to there were practically none but still an OK level. In others it was buzzing.

 

Graphics- Absolutly lush even through a webcam.

 

Camera Angles- There are many to choosefrom. I belive i saw a "dashboard" view at one point along with some sweet ass cinemtic style angles.

 

Its all down to location.

 

 

 

Anyway. Those Are MY findings. Im not re-hyped about the game and the odd glitch isnt going to bother me. Thats the fun of GTA in some respects. The crazy glitches at some points.

I got them.

 

All there is now is to wait till the day it comes out and see what its like.

thanks great info and just a confirmation of what I knew from the videos gj

 

Only one thing I'd like to comment on and thats about the handling and this stupid whole feeling like a boat thing. The reason cars sway is because the driver is turning the thumb stick to fast when he turns. Try smoothly turning with the thumbstick and the turning will be spot on. try turning the steering wheel as fast as you see in these videos and the car will do the same thing.

Thats what I was going to say. What he said is nothing more then what yo would read in a magazine. I think he did a great job. I watched a bit of the live feed but I'd rather watch the videos posted on that other site. Thanx for the insight.

Yea enough of that. Even though the camera quality was pretty sh*t you could tell the graphics were good. The physics are as you say spot on however, im no ttoo sure about driving, i think you need to feel it for yourself before you can judge it

I don't know if this has been discussed or whatever (I've been avoiding this forum because of spoilers) but what is this I've heard about there apparently being no hotwiring?

anyway, the feed was pretty awesome. did you see when he pushed that poor guy down the stairs? hahah

 

although i must admit he was a pretty crappy driver.

 

there was an awesome shootout where he was surrounded by 3 cop cars and he was taking cover behind a car leaning out and shooting until he got popped in the head.

 

it was amazing.

I'm playing it now, thank god I have a modded xbox. Very good game so far, pushing people down stairs is fun. I would do the live thing but i don't have a camera.
