Redneck crusher

It seems that some code numbers that related to redneck crusher is missing. So that why it glitched and dosen't get reward.

Do you have access to the .mis file for the Residential District, or to the .scr?

No, I don't have access to .mis file, although, I'm using PS1 to confirm that redneck crusher is working but for PC version, Maybe you will need to find data code from the Internet that will work for you.

The .scr is in the game files, obviously, but it is compiled. And as to why the crusher won't work is indeed likely in the mssion script file. But what exacly they messed up we can't tell. Possibly the generator works but the powerup spawns at the wrong location (under the floor, doesn't move with the conveyor) or doesn't spawn at all. We can't tell but you're pretty close probably.

I know it's old thread but this issue seems still unfixed.

 

Did you tried to fix it?

I just have read this topic and thinking about how it could be fixed actually.

 

 

Have some ideas.

It's Rednecks crane. Almost at the upper left corner of the map

Im working on it.

 

One idea popped into my head and i thought why not.

 

Let's see if it works.

 

 

 

But it takes a bit time.

I started messing around with that bug again and after few hours of work i figured out today where the data is saved in STE.SCR.

And to be really sure i modified second crane coordinate a bit.

By default second crane is at X: 7.5 but i changed it to 8.5.

 

Thanks goes to my tool for help.

So i now know where data is saved and im working out what is wrong there.

Nice job!

 

Cranes were in the right spot but the destructor and powerup generator were off by one y coordinate.

Chapapote.

 

Figured out where coords are and just used my tool for changing it.

But it took me many hours to find this stuff and figure out whats wrong there and i was so tired after that.

But as you see it was worth the hard work.

 

Basically every coord in SCR is saved using one algorithm. At least so far it seems so.

My tool resolves them fine. You just should know where the data you need is saved.

 

As you see my previous posts i first posted 17:55 and my latest post 00:40.

~7 hours in a row i messed with that bug. Seriously! 7 hours in row without a break.

Yeah, maybe im crazy but i couldn't stop before it started working.

 

Im wondering what else could be done? I have pretty alot of luck with SCR files lately.

Wow that was over 8 years ago, time flies.

 

I applied B-$hep's changes to the free classics ste.scr.

 

00004E55: E0 changed to A0

00004EC1: E0 changed to A0

 

http://gtamp.com/GTA2/ste.scr, copy this to your GTA2\data folder to make the Redneck crane crusher rewards appear. Thank B-$hep for finding the locations in an older ste.scr.
