Brundo Posted April 23, 2008 Share Posted April 23, 2008 Hi everyone, I have a question about the XBL updates; I unfortunately do not have access to XBL, and I was wondering if I bought the game after the updates would become available, would they be included on the retail disc? Just wanted to know if I should hold of on buying the game until the updates were released, or if it it won't make any difference. Thanks in advance! Yeah, you don't have to have a gold subscription. And you can definitely download the update through Xbox's website, burn them to disc and put it in your 360 and update it that way. What I meant was that my XBox is not in a location where I can hook it up to my modem (or something to that effect, I know nothing about all this internet stuff, I was just told that I couldn't). What I was asking was exactly what cyclone1969 said. I wanted to know if the discs would be sold with the "pre applied patches on them" as he put it, once they were released. Anyway if not, then I'll just burn the updates to a CD through the internet and put that in the XBox, as some of you advised. Thanks anyway. Some people don't have the necessary DSL lines running into their towns. Where i live we still dont have DSL lines, but thankfully a local guy set up a small ISP and he broadcasts a DSL signal wirelessly and we have antennae that pick up the signal. Thanks in advance! No updates on disks unless they come out with a special edition with the DLC included on a disk like COD4 did. However, you could just take your hard drive over to a friends and put the game in and it will update the game. You do not need a gold membership it's free.
