BrokenMonkey
this is why i laugh when people say the xbox is better than the ps3.. the ps3 has better graphix and all that.. more updates n such.. and more storage.. hell the smallest 40bg is much bigger than the 360 First of all, every game that has been released on both consoles so far, have looked better on the 360... the PS3 doesn't get more updates... and the biggest ps3 HDD is 60gb while the biggest 360 HDD is 120gb... So basically everything you just said was wrong. ya gonna make me prove u wrong the ps3 has settings in the display ones RGB full range (HDMI) its on "LIMITED" need to be put on full second one u need to change is the last one SUPER-WHITE (HDMI) needs to be turned on sencond of all i already siad it once in this thread the HDD's can be upgraded in a PS3 to 500gigs they use a 5400rpm 2.5 sata laptop HDD (dont make me say this again) EDIT: IF YOU NEVER OWNED A PS3 Y PUT FAULSE INFO UP?? Dude, do you even know what "RGB full range" and "SUPER-WHITE" HDMI settings do? From all I can tell (and anyone else who uses HDMI and isn't a liar) it does NOTHING! And just because you go and look it up on Wikipedia doesn't mean you actually know what it does. By the way, the PS3 can't actually handle a 500 GB hard drive, it's upper limit is like 250 or 320, so don't keep babbling on about this 500 GB bullsh*t. Yes it's still more than a 360 but when are you ever going to have 320 GB worth of game saves? If you fill it up with demos, why not spend the HDD money on games instead? If you fill it up with music, pictures, and video, why not buy an external HDD or stream from your PC instead? There's absolutely no reason to have a massive hard drive in your PS3 unless you have a small penis and need to compensate for it, but can't afford a car and are too young to own a gun. If that's a word. YOu Fanboys are clearly biased or you would at least acknowledge that that is based on different hardware and a port means it was written on one machine and converted to another. That alone is not an easy task and does not play to each systems strengths equally. Many ways to fault that reasoning. You can also choose a 7200Rpm drive at this point in time 5400 is a minimum requirement for PC video editing, for example.
skitzofraen
60GB is the largest HDD for PS3? You are absolutely sure of that, are you! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA The biggest official PS3 HDD is 60gb as far as I know. You can use non-PS3 hdd's, but that's not what im talking about (im talking about official ps3 hdd's)

I swear to God, you would get it, and when you got home you would notice it was filled with dumped body parts. Not to mention that both of those are overpriced (even though the 60gig is the best ps3)

GOOGLE SKUs for Sony to get the lowdown you need Obviously, I know all of that. I didn't say the 60gig was the biggest, I said it was the best. Its the best because of the non emulated running of all PS2 games. Thats why I'm glad I bought one before they were discontinued

mark3boyz
I doubt the DVD issue effected this GTA but Its probably likely we will see future GTA's as PS3 exclusives. It did seem he was not pleased by the idea of putting future GTA on a DVD. Hard drive or not it would be a lot easier to spend all their time and money developing exclusively for the PS3. Of course I could be wrong. For the record I have a 500 GB external harddrive hooked up to my PS3 right now and it works fine. grasscarp99
Interesting that this thread gets dominated by the whole XBOX vs. PS3 thing. I thought that, if indeed Rock* used the 360 as the primary platform for development for GTA4 and then "ported" everything to the PS3, that someone involved in development would mention that the HDD thing was thus important... possibly ( although he didn't say it) effecting future work? Hell if I know... at least I'm a couple hours closer to 4/29.

mark3boyz
FYI all games are developed on a PC and then "ported" to consoles. Usually there is a lead system to check the work on the other but it doesnt mean that they concentrate more on one then the other. Look at Call Of Duty 4 to prove my point. Slamman
The seperation between a fanboy post and a legitimate line of posts in a thread is where opinion and fact are not misconstrued and facts aren't also ignored. I noticed you edited the signature or so it appears now. I'm fine with that. The Me for Mod was an April Fools gag, long over now. I still have seniority over 08ers and 07ers I might point out. Niko>>>all
Why don't you guys just STFU and talk about the game. I'm so tired of hearing the same goddamn bickering between aspects of 360 and PS3. WHO THE f*ck CARES??? Obviously it does not matter ONE BIT at this moment, as GTA IV will be the SAME on both consoles. No noticeable differences. So can everyone just talk about the f*cking game instead of arguing about who's box of electronics is more 1337 than the other
numdmind
Its not really dissing, and I agree with him. Microsoft needs to just screw the idiots who bought the arcade version, so the 99% of people who bought pro and elite can get better games HEY. I resent that. I have an arcade version, it's not my fault I'm a poor person who can BARELY make due. But it is your fault that you couldn't wait an extra month or so to save the extra hundred bucks to buy one with a hard drive. Seriously, what were you thinking? Arcade Version - $279 Xbox 360 with 20 gig HDD - $349 You wasted your money. Period.
