Purvis
I f*cking hate Nickleback, mainly because there tone deaf fans are morons who will buy anything they sell. They used the same lyrics from one song they did in there first/second/whatever album and used them in a new album or some sh*t like that.
redwolf206
No. Nor will I ever, due to the fact that they suck ass. That's how I know Rockstar would never stoop so low as to getting some of their songs for a game that's supposed to have an awesome soundtrack, a soundtrack that fully fits the New York atmosphere. Last time I checked, that sh*tty band didn't give off a NY vibe. Funny, because while it's common knowledge that their first CD was nothing special, their latest one is as influenced by the Beatles as any CD you'll ever come across. So, unless you hate the Beatles (in which case I'll make use of the ignore feature, if this board has one), you're statement is grounded in absolutely nothing. So they can't make their own original music so they "borrow" from an almost 5-decade old band? Sounds like sh*t to me. Last I checked every contemporary artist has influences. Try a new insult, thanks. I've heard their new CD, there is nothing special. Being influenced doesn't mean copy off another band's style. There is no technical skill, no style, no groove, no soul, NO TALENT. It's garbage and you'll just have to accept it.

Spawngasm
I also hope that most of you people realize the radio has different stations for a reason. If you dont like a certain genre, dont listen to that station? Its pretty simple... Yeah there are a lot of different stations, but eventually you're going to hear this crap even if you're trying to avoid it.

Well I do suppose we should call rockstar and have them remove it all because Spawngasm just cant stand it! Some of you are terribly closed-minded and self-centered. T.I.P.
I don't care who they're being influenced by. Their influences don't make up for the fact that a lot of people hate their music. No matter who influenced them, they still sound bad and appeal to mostly wannabe emos. And in my opinion, they have no place on this soundtrack. What you're saying doesn't make any sense. The two albums are about as dissimilar as any debut and follow-up you could find. You saying they suck is based, undoubtedly, on their first CD. You don't know anything about their new music, or, if you are basing your opinion off their second CD, music in general.
Vanilla Shake
I also hope that most of you people realize the radio has different stations for a reason. If you dont like a certain genre, dont listen to that station? Its pretty simple... Yeah there are a lot of different stations, but eventually you're going to hear this crap even if you're trying to avoid it. Exactly. I'm a fan of the two types of rock being featured on the soundtrack, classic and alternative. Now, seeing as how Panic at the Disco and Fall Out Boy and all that sh*t wouldn't fit on a rap station, a jazz station, or even a hardcore station, where else can they put their songs? I don't see an emo station or a sh*tty pop station on the radio station list. So they would end up on the alternative rock station, the station where I'm hoping for more indie rock from New York-based bands and alternative/grunge rock from the '90s (like Radio X). I'm basing my opinion on everything I've ever heard from them, be it new or old. Say I have a bad taste in music all you want, but the fact of the matter is they suck. Hell, I hate all bands that even sound like them. You are not going to change my mind about that. BigWeather
I hope the art book is worth it. Because if the contents of the Wikipedia entry represent a superset of the soundtrack in the CE I don't need it. I'm sure there'll be music I like, but this'll probably be the weakest of the GTA soundtracks -- for me. Others may like it, and that's cool. Different folks, different strokes. (And I haven't heard some of the songs listed -- so I'm open to being pleasantly surprised and finding new music to love. I'm looking at you Scientist!) spunXtain
i'm let down by the soundtrack too. and i'm not just talking about the list on Wikipedia. Even the 100% confirmed real stuff is a letdown. It's not mainstream at all. Never heard of ANY of it. I don't like that. The best thing about Vice City and San Andreas was the soundtrack of POPULAR music.

numdmind
most likely game store employees posting stuff. obviously they're checking all the SE stuff out. i would. If my special edition is opened when I get it I'm going to kick every one of those Gamestop employees asses. I guarantee it. Those worthless bags of piss don't seem to get that to some that's a collector's item, and therefore worthless when opened. On a side note more related to the topic - There is nothing punk rock about any of those bands they've listed except Bad Brains. The Sex Pistols were pretty much the New Kids on the Block. They are all a blemish on the Punk scene. I'm still rooting for The Pogues. They deserve it more than f*cking Fallout Boy.

Im sure there will be a few classic punk songs thrown in for good measure, but if you dont wanna listen to it because its not "proper punk" then i personally think you'll be missing out. [-Vice-Andreas-]
Well not all the radio stations in San Andreas and Vice City were absolutely correct to their genre. I think alot of the songs are in their best suited radio station, but are subgenres within that sound. Its pretty believable this list. I hope "What a Wonderful World" is in though, would be pretty cinematic to be listening to that, looking out into the Liberty City night skyline... people running around, screaming, cars exploding, helicopters etc
