Purvis
I was browsing the GTA4 wiki page here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_Auto_4 When I noticed in "rating(s)," that it said for the USK "18 (cut)" It was cited by this: http://www.usk.de/64_Pruefdatenbank.htm?s=...d+Theft+Auto+IV So, any German people/speakers care to either prove or disprove this? OptimumPx
After reading two different translations I don't think it's been cut at all. It only says, as far as I understand, that ti isn't for people under 18 years old. I could be missing something though.
Dan50
I heard it came out uncut and with an 18 rating.

DODdeed
Also in Germany GTAIV will be uncut. It is not allowed to sold it to people who are under 18. Why do you think it´s cut?
Dan50
Because all the other GTA games were censored. This is the first GTA game to come out uncensored.
Freezer89
It will definitely be uncut in German..
sinnerboy
GTA3 with the german subtitles had no blood.
Dan50
Turn it to english and its uncut.
uzi 9mm
It doesn't make sense how previous GTA's were cut for Germany but GTA4 stays uncensored. The new game is a lot more polished off and violence will apear much more clearer than before, I know things like blood puddles and kicking deceased bodies was restricted for Germans before, but that doesn't seem half as bad as some of the realistic deaths GTA4 has in store. Cleansation
No this is the first (I believe ... maybe gta 1 and 2 excluded) to not be censored in germany.

Previous GTA's had a 16+ rating, whereas GTA4 has a 18+ rating. So it does make sense that it's uncut, and Euphoria can't just be "censored", so no way to effectively censor the game . benny profane
this is from the USK, which is the official games censoring institution. it doesnt say about any cuts, but its 18+. i think GTA SA was basically cut after R* had not submitted it for rating before release in germany. do i remember that right? anyway, no rating in germany also means no selling. lets hope for uncut.
