irishlad Posted April 23, 2008 Share Posted April 23, 2008 I simply can not understand how OXM could score Halo3, Mass Effect, Bioshock and Fight Night a 10/10 and somehow come to the conclusion that GTA4 deserves a 9.5/10? If 10/10 means the perfect game then how the f*ck did any of the above title's earn a 10/10?? After playing through Bioshock i would struggle to give it 9/10. That game is extremely overrated. Halo3 a 10/10 ?? nothing innovotive same old sh*t. Then we have the bug and glich riddled mass effect with a terrible combat system and gets 10/10?? It is an injustice then to not score GTA4 with everything i have read so far(extremely good previews/reviews) a 10/10. Does anybody agree with me here? Are these reviewer's on drugs? And most of those games they gave 10 to are AAA exclusive titles. A score of 9.5 is excellent and it doesn't really matter, but now that you mention Halo 3, Mass Effect and Bioshock getting a 10/10 then i do think its unfair of them to rate GTAIV a 9.5. I mean most magazines give near perfect or great games a 10/10 like Game Informer, but why would they give this a 9.5? Just wait for a gametrailers or IGN review who are much more fair. Exclusive titles that are all in affiliated to Microsoft in some way. But it still does not excuse scoring GTA4 lower than what clearly will turn out to be weaker titles.
