Here, people don't even invite themselves over, that's rude to do at all. If you want to do something with someone here, they call you and say "Hey, feel like doing something tonight?", not "Can I come over?". Here, our parents taught use while young that it's rude and intrusive to invite yourself over to someone else's home. You get invited, that's the way it works. Irrelevant of this stupid game, your friends shouldn't even be imposing on you like this, they're clearly idiots. The fact of the matter is, your friends are being dicks just by imposing like this, tell them so, tell them to go hang out with eachother or some sh*t, if you want to play the damn game by yourself, then do so, you have the right to do it and this issue should have never come up if your friends had any damned manners at all. Seriously, if one of my friends just walked in my house without knocking, grabbed the 360 controller from me and told me to go get them a mountain dew, I think I would have to dust off the good ol' steel baseball bat sitting in my closet. Just be honest, tell em that it's your game, so you wanna play it by yourself for a while, and after a few days they're welcome to come over. Don't be harsh or anything, just explain to them that you wanna play it by yourself first. They'll understand, and if they don't understand, then they are probably 10% friend and 90% leech. I would suggest just telling them you want to play it on your own. Easiest really and I feel for you man...many times I've had mates asking me if they can pop over and try out my new TV or sound system or whatever, it really sucks to have to give out excuses but it's the only way if they ain't gonna get anything themselves. ...loving some of the suggestions so far by the way but I really think it was time I was making tracks for bed.
