If someone is home with you, ask them to tell your friends that you've gone to attend your cousin's friend's grandmother's brother's wife's funeral, and you'll be back in a week. None of my friends want to come over for the first week, because they think I will hog it. Just tell them to piss off though, they will get over it. If they do happen to come over say to them "OK here's the deal, if you must be here you either watch, or every tenth time I die, I hand it over to one of you and wait until you die, but you must get cause some havoc and you aren't allowed to play missions" that way they just play SP free roam and you get to do all the missions yourself. I'm sure they'd understand. Ive already told my mates that I wont let any of them touch my GTA4 for at least a month. My reasons: Ive been waiting literally years for this game and I will not have anyone do anything on my copy before me. Imagine if it was you not having a system, you'd hate your friends for not letting you see it for a week. bopsta Posted April 23, 2008 Share Posted April 23, 2008 i'm in a similar situation. i live with 2 people who are dying to get the game - one guy has a borrowed xbox and says he will get it but he hasn't preordered or anything, the other guy has no console or anything and just says "when gta iv comes out i'm just gonna sit infront of the tv and not move". i've told them that i'm not getting it until after i've finished my exams in may, and i may possibly get it earlier if i really really cant wait. little do they know that i've got it preordered and i'm going to my parents house on monday (who are on holiday) with my hdtv and my xbox. i'm probably just gonna go back to uni in short bursts, without the game. if they do manage to bother (and find a copy) getting the game, then i'll just spill the beans as they won't be so interested then. bopsta Posted April 23, 2008 Share Posted April 23, 2008 oh and the reason why i went to all this trouble is because i know that if i had it my housemate would just not bother getting the game, and keep asking to borrow it to play on his xbox, and my other housemate would keep asking for a go. sometimes i just like to get engrossed in a game. its like when i play it online with my headset on, i dont want to have to talk to two different rooms of people. if they dont get the game they will so badly wanna play it that ill never get any peace.
