I called my blockbuster about having a midnight release but they said that it will have regular store hours on that day + those who pre-ordered will be guaranteed a copy of GTA:IV . Hopefully I'll have my lunch break at or around 10am on the 29th. I'll go and get the game and enjoy a good meal while reading the booklet. And I preordered from GameStop, and I expect to pick it up at the midnight release, if my location has one. Problem is, I live in a city of 10,000. I have preorderd the special edition at Target, I'm going to pick it up in the morning on the 29th. I asked a lady that worked in the electronics dep. if they are having a midnight release. And she said that "they don't, because they close before 12:00am" and chuckled. (Typical old lady reaction.), she then asked: "Why, do other stores have that?" And I said yea, Walmart does. She then kinda glared at me, she knew I was being a smartass lol, and I guess she is one of the few employees that take their job very seriously. Well why the f*ck aren't they though? Walmart is there biggest competitiore and they seem not to even try to top them at all. I'll be sure to reserve at Walmart next time a big game release comes out.
