Galactic101
why not send it to MS or xbox pro's for a fix
defibrillator
Go to walmart. Buy a new one. Return it the same day but instead put in the RROD one and return it later so the person who sold it to you is probably not there. And cite your reason for returning is the RROD. If they have any questions, just persist in saying that you bought this particular console for GTA IV and the fact that it is faulty is upsetting you and you are looking for a more reliable place. No problems.

No problems. Except for serial numbers, other conclusive evidence that the console is obviously not the console he purchased. His could be the old console that they don't sell anymore etc. Go and rent one man, meanwhile send yours to MS and they will fix it for free. I got mine back from MS last week after a week and a half of it being away. They even fixed my disc drive for free and gave me a free one month xbl gold membership. They are really good at CS and they will strive to help you.
defibrillator
This is true but if you take it to returns, they probably won't know how to do that and if they have questions just insist this is what they sold you. They probably won't want to go through the trouble and will just put it in like a defect pile or something.
GTASIX
I dont think they do. Probably because theyd get stolen or damaged and the store wouldnt be able to make up the costs.
Vercetti21
They won't. Goddamn Walmart customer service is terrible, because when my first 360 got RRoD, they just took it to the back (with my receipt) and forgot to get me a new one. Then the employee's shift ended, so I was basically standing there without any proof that I purchased one. Eventually after a long hour of complaining and swearing, they brought me a new one, and didn't even bother to look at the old one. Trust me, you'll be in the clear. Pat
The local Hastings rents out 360s here, but not PS3s. Do you have a Hastings in your area? If not, I would recommend a place like Rent-A-Center. They'll only charge you about $30 a week, which is what Hastings charges, coincidentally.
