Iv downloaded save files off the internet and put them in the proper directory and it all seems fine until i try 2 load it in the game and it all jus closes. iv downgraded from version 2 to version 1 so i don c wat the problem is...if any1 can help id b grateful. btw vehicle mods do work so i duno y saves dont.. OrionSR Posted April 22, 2008 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Sounds like a script mismatch. Try to find saves that are described as v1 or v2 and see which ones work for you. Also, depending on the mod, it might be possible that saves without that mod are not compatible with your current setup. This usually isn't a problem with vehicle mods, but again, it depends on the mod. Also, if you look in the Mission Help topic for SA you can find copies of both versions of the default scripts, and a handy utility for swapping them as required. One of these should load if you haven't changed your scripts. <Chain Game Round 24 v1> <Chain Game Round 27 v2> It should be possible to swap out main.scm and script.img contained in these archives with the files in SA's DATA\SCRIPT folder to load v1 saves as required. v1 scripts. v2 scripts. konvict55 Posted April 24, 2008 Author Share Posted April 24, 2008 ok the v.1 save froze my game, it loaded all the way then just stopped and the music kept going. the v.2 worked but it started from the begining, but without the video of CJ in the airport. i dont understand wat i shod do with those two scripts... OrionSR Posted April 24, 2008 Share Posted April 24, 2008 The Chain Game save is suppose to load in the alley, it's a starter save and pickups up the game just after the cut-scene with Ten Penny. You should be able to load other v2 saves available with your current scripts. Or, you could try swapping the main.scm and script.img in the v1 one archive for the v2 scripts you are using to see if you can load your other saves. konvict55 Posted April 25, 2008 Author Share Posted April 25, 2008 ok lol, now i cant load any of my saves and i cant even start a new game..i just used the IMG Tool 2.0 to replace 2 buildings and i replaced the files for the verdant meadows airport. wats happend now....
