After all, I'm sure almost everyone on this forum is familiar with ramming into the backside of a stopped taxi after going plenty fast in a sports car. If you get in and drive off straight away you dont put it on, but if you get in and wait he does his seatbelt. If you take off straight away, the door will flap (and the seatbelt will remain undone). If you give him a second, he'll close the door (and buckle up). mike752 Posted April 22, 2008 Share Posted April 22, 2008 No. During one of the reviews (can't remember which), they made a quick reference to seatbelts (this is a loose quote): As we were driving fast in our sports car away from the police, we hit a wall at top speed, and Niko came flying out of the windshield into the wall, dying instantly (apparently Niko doesn't believe in seatbelts). Especially since R* has made it very clear that detail is very important to them in GTA 4. I mean instant death from flying thru the windscreen makes seatbelts far from pointless. Like others have said, when you get in a car, wait a sec and the character will automatically strap in. For those who say Niko doesnt have time to strap in, I say its YOU (the impatient gamer) that doesnt have time not Niko. Everyone isnt always in the middle of a chase or mission. Most are suggesting that its an option anyway which means you dont HAVE to strap in so you can just jump in and drive off. All you "I DONT WANT IT IN THE GAME SO NOBODY ELSE SHOULD HAVE IT EITHER" ppl need to get off that self centered bullsh*t like the game is made just for you.
