GoldenJoel
I just finished watching the Fox news report, and it seems that the CTA was pushed into taking down those ads for no apparent reason other then the name. So, can that be a grounds for a complaint by Rockstar through legal or other means?

GloRy
Well im sure they paid thousands for advertising in Big Citys so they should be able to get there money back or take them to court.
GoldenJoel
Ha! I wonder if that's one of the marketing schemes....
TenaciousD.
I dont actually know. Thanks for that. In theory, I assume they could. When they agreed on the advertising it would of been on paper, not just a "Heres cash. Put these up" and most likely, the duration of the campaign would of been agreed on. If they broke this agreement then yes, but I doubt Rockstar would. This probably only created more interest in GTAIV and thus, more sales.
RoninJinn
I think legally, they are entitled to the money they paid for the advertising back. But I don't think they can sue for anything else really.

j wheazy
im pretty sure any company reserves the right to refuse business to ANYONE for ANY reason. as long as its not race related, i dont think rockstar has a leg to stand on & i dont think they care that much anyways.....instead of being on a billboard in 1 city, the story is now in rotation on a worldwide news network. fishermanGTA
Rockstar should commend them for the free publicity. Best post ever. When are idiots who campaign against GTA going to realise that their campaigns only create more hype for it?
cupidstunt
Pizza Hut serves pasta now. What? no way! OT - They would have signed a contract in which rockstar could have ensured that they have to keep them up for a certain amount of time, unrefundable. That contract would have been legally binding. Unfortunatley however, I assume this is an issue that solumn comes up.
