BOT Lando
This picture intrigues me. Why you may ask? Because it looks alive. Look at it for a while, study it a bit. It just has that 'alive' feeling to it, it feels realistic; even though we're not actually 'feeling' the game yet. Have anyone else felt intrigued with a certain picture? Not just 'golly, the graphics are amazing' but more of a '...wow'-thing.
Bojan17
I have to agree with you man. Especially the main parts of the city too. I remember some one counting over 20 cars, not including peds that where waiting at traffic lights.. Gonna be awesome with all the life in one game. ramsy66
Maybe it's because the cars aren't in constant kamikaze, bashing into each other as random people fight for no reason, unlike in SA. Looks friggen amazing, I can't wait to just walk around.

alexmac9
You're right it looks alive One can't help but wonder that it might look a bit more alive if there were more than 2/3 peds on the sidewalk.
mightyox
In the crash pic it looks like the dudes head has gone through the grill or is his neck just hideously distorted?

Personally, where I come from you only see three/four people walking around while there are many more vehicles.

GrandTheftWalrus
wow, those are really incredible! lots of traffic, thats a plus. Wonder if you throw a grenade, if the cars will blow up with a chain reaction like in the other GTA', framerate will go banannas

DWASGTA
I think the first screen posted is probably from an earlier build of the game. If you look on the left side, on the road, you can see peds standing in an odd position with their arms outstretched. Perhaps the peds are just rezzing into view at that point. BOT Lando
That Burger Shot photo just doesn't appeal to me. It's too crowded, and does not have that special 'artistic' touch to it that I like.

inveni0
I think the reason the images feel alive is because everything in them (buildings, cars, textures, people) are different. Nothing is the same, and so it really feels like a real city, and not just artwork in a game which is used repeatedly within the scene.

TBH I wasnt going to say anything but the picture you posted IMO is one of the less impressive ones ive seen, how does less traffic feel more "alive"? JacksTiredEyes
There seems to be so much more traffic in this game, it's gonna be great fun plowing through it on a chase. All these pics do look so alive like everyone says. In the recent interview with Dan Houser he talks about that being their main aim for GTA IV. It's a great interview, and hearing how they approach creating GTA games you can see why they are head and shoulders above every other game. They put so much detail into the city they create, and it really shows, and that's what makes if feel so alive. I'm finding it difficult to get my head round how all the changes are going to come together (even having played the previous games to death), but I know they will. I'm so looking forward to just strolling around taking in the sights, soaking up the atmosphere, and looking at all the cool little details. And that's before I've even got in a car... Thescorpionx
I feel the idea about giving a living feel to the city is to give a purpose to everything, the sotres, the cars, the people. People go somewhere, not just walk around and so on. Yesterday i was playing GTA:SA, and was walking around, i noticed a car driving next to me, parked in an house not to far, and the driver simply got out, and started walking on the street like a normal ped...
