Today our shipment of GTAIV came in, we had THOUSANDS of copies, amazing numbers like nothing i've ever seen before, even Halo 3 and my job was pfp (prepping for packing as we call it). Let me give you the info first. The Special Edition cardboard boxes are HUGE! and have their own boxart! The PS3 version has a woman sucking a lolly and the Xbox 360 version has Niko wearing fingerless gloves but inside both games in their DVD cases have identical boxarts. We opened one box of each and had a look, the gym bag comes folded up and the CD sadly doesnt have a proper CD case but a cardboard sleeve. The GTA4 PS3s arrived too, very heavy. The lockbox is SO much bigger than I thought. Anyway we were not allowed to even play a copy under penalty of firing.. not happy about that at all, we were even told to snitch on anyone who took a copy.. anyway the important info from game.co.uk orders.. The 500 MS points and Gamerpics that you get with a X360 order come to you via email on launch day, no sooner. We were expecting them to be on a card included with the game, but we were told this morning they would be emailed out. We got more stock of PS3 copies than we were told so if you havent ordered it yet you should still be able to order the regular PS3 version on the site now, the 360 version had no extra copies. If you ordered FREE DELIVERY on GTA4, GTA4 Special edition, or GTA4 PS3 bundle, they will be picked up on Saturday afternoon by Royal Mail. If you ordered NEXT DAY DELIVERY on GTA4, GTA4 Special edition, or GTA4 PS3 bundle they will be picked up Monday morning by Royal Mail for Tuesday delivery. There is NO CHANCE of getting the game early if you ordered next day delivery, but if you ordered free delivery there is a chance. PS. We had lots of people ask if you need to sign for the game, you do not as we post Royal Mail regular. Of course the Special Edition and PS3 bundle are HUGE so you will need someone to answer the door for you! Couldn't you just steal one of the disks (not a box, just the disk) and just let one unhappy customer return his box with not game and get a new one? philhull Posted April 22, 2008 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Thanks for the info. I've pre-ordered the PS3 version from Game and I can't wait for it to arrive in the post. Im praying I get it Monday (I ALWAYS get my Game pre-orders a day early), if I get GTA4 a day early I WILL die. If not then im getting the first bus into town on tuesday to buy the first copy I find. When the one from Game arrives in the post (usually about 12ish) I will just send it back. Should be back home playing it at about 10ish on Tuesday if it doesn't arrive Monday. I can't go to the midnight launch either because im at work. And work won't let me buy a copy till Tuesday (shop shuts at 8pm Monday, I work out of hours). Just got an email from GAME again saying that my order has begun the picking process. Card has been authorized and ready for picking 22/04/2008 16:28:45 Your credit/ debit card has been authorised and your order is now being released for packing.Funds will not be debited until your order is shipped. 22/04/2008 15:53:03 Your order is waiting for authorisation and release for packing. 02/01/2008 14:05:24 Your order is currently held as a Preorder Just like to say your service at GAME is the best in my opinion. Never ever had any trouble with it. So thanks (lol, yeh probably doesnt mean anything to you but thanks anyway). Now make sure i get my game this week , nah only joking!
