Hey Guys,

I've just been having a think about GTA IV and how big this game is going to be and it got me thinking....

PS3 uses Blu Ray and can store up to around 50gigs of data and the 360 still uses DVD which is about 9ish (dual layer).

Just wondering if this affects the game at all and how they can fit so much on one disk?

I'll give a cookie.gif to the first person that says derrrrr compression!

So how big (in terms of data) is GTA IV going to be on Blu Ray?

In the new interview with IGN the Senior Art Director of whatever the f*ck he is was asked about the storage on the disks and he asnwered;

How do you fit so much detail for such a large city onto a single disc?

Garbut:We have some very sophisticated compression algorithms that are working some black magic on the data. We're used to squeezing a lot onto a disk.
