lol, where's Florida?

Recommended Posts

stop bashing this guy, his thoughts had led me to think some ideas. If u look where san andreas/california would be on the globe, u can see that it is square shaped at the southwest corner unlike real california, i believe this is due to the fact that the shape of san andreas is in fact square.

U guys most remember this isnt real life but caricature of life and so this idea should be applied to the globe. So what im saying there is a possibility that this is the futre outline of areas of the future games, if u know what im saying.

TO be more radical, if u take this idea and match it up with the square units on the globe, then the planet of Grand theft auto's primeter is only roughly 200km.

So how is it possible with a planet this size that is smaller than many moons and asteroids can have enough gravity to keep people and cars on it, this is impossible, unless.......ahahahahaha wow i went off on a tangent.

But seriously we should study this globe closer and hopes that it could relieve obscure facts monocle.gif

Just a thought..

Maybe it's a very subtle easter egg refering to Jack Thompson (Since he's a lawyer in Florida).

Could be that R* didn't want Florida on the U.S map, because Jack Thompson's based in Florida?

I didn't even think of that. Good thought.

I like this reply the best.

Maybe it's because it doesn't have to be an exact representation of the actual globe? They can cut-out whatever they see fit from the globe.

Not to mention Vice City wasn't a part of any actual mainland, so there's no real way to tell if Florida in the GTA world is the same shape and size as it is in real life, or even in the exact same place.

To toss my two cents in, it looks like tis just a 'modern art' piece of a globe for a central art piece in the park. If you look you also notice several other parts are missing. Beneath california? No strip of land. Can't tell but it looks like Alaska might be 'rounded' a little as well. So 1) It looks like its a modern art rendition. Its made to look nice, not be an exact representation. 2) It looks like alot of it was 'rounded' so that fits with the idea its a 'artistic rendition' and less an easter egg. Course we can't see the other side of the globe to see what else may or may not be missing. Guess we can explore in game and figure it out easier then, once its released?

Rambone2007
It takes place modern day, so I don't think it's global warming or anything like that..

But that is pretty weird.

Nice find. cookie.gif

It may soon be our present day.Maybe R* knows something Vladdie my friend.

Well, I live in Florida, so I hope that day isn't too soon.

It will happen in a couple if we the people of the planet Earth don't take action and don't start taking responsibilities. I live in FL too.

LOL...you've actually bought into that daft propaganda???
