You feel more comfortable introducing yourself to others in person as your screen name. 7. When people ask you what forum you are on you produce a three-page pamplet with over 100 forums on it. 8. Getting kicked off a forum before hitting 1,000 posts is just beginner's luck. 9. Creating a signature means choosing only 4 of your domain names. Decisions, decisions. 10. Forum addicts almost always have more posts than the new admin. 11. You know the software release number of the forum or CMS manager before scrolling to the copyright 12. You know where the online gallery most of the banners and images came from. 13. You recognize most of the key user names from other boards. And they you. 14. You have more sophisticated banners, gifs, and more interesting links than other users. And they don't like it. 15. When you are emailing the webmaster about style improvements and added features you are usually doing it before you have registered and/or logged in. 16. You design more forums a day than most people eat breakfast in a month 17. You can navigate forums in other langauges based on your knowledge of the command structure, the gui interface, and the index directories of most forum design packages and applications. 18. An online shpping spree can mean tantalising new skins, exciting new hosting packages, containers full of complex frontends, and images. Not tangible stuff.
