Yeah, yeah, yeah, online has Forge, Replay saves, Community and blah, blah. But all that has nothing to do with the actual in-game, real-time battling. The only reason GTA wasn't as well know as Halo Is because Halo had mulitplayer for awhile, GTA didn't. GTA is way more well known that halo. halo 1 sold 5 million copies halo 2 sold 8 million copies halo 3 sold 8.1 million copies gtaIII sold 14.5 million copies vice city= 17.5 million copies SA= 12 million copies due to the numbers i would say gta has halo beat by a longshot... It never once said it was going to be more than it actually was. So the hype was well balanced, and the game turned out to be an amazing experience. The only disappointment was the missing custom game browser, where people could make their own games, and have the public join em. This is why I stoped playing cause I could never play exactly what I wanted. In terms of hype Halo 3 only disappointed me in one area, everything hyped was in game. Now in GTA 4 a lot is promised, and we just have to wait and see if all the hype is true or just a cover up for lots of disappointment. You all are a bunch of n00bs who tryed Halo3, got headshot by people like me, teabaged, and $^%#ing quit as a result so stfu. Halo 3 is a AMAZING GAME, its extremely fun, and only enjoyed fully if you are elite. I see the same thing for GTA4 I know I will be on it all day, everyday mastering multiplayer, and ruining other peoples experience by being 100x better than 99%. In my opinion GTA IV Hype is waaay bigger than the one with the Halo 3. Halo 3 was just on X360, and the GTA IV is for X360 and PS3 but thats not the only reason, GTA IV is simply bigger and way more expanded sequel. The numbers from post are a bit strange for me, i've checked VG Chartz site: GTA III - 11.60m GTA Vice City - 14.20m GTA San Adnreas - 15.42m It's for the PS2 Version. Arguing on the internet is like winning the special Olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded. but anyways no, halo 3 had like a 6 hour television coverage on G4tv and a super launch in New York i doubt the hype will get that big but in my opinion i think GTA IV deserves more hype.
