housingkev Posted April 21, 2008 Share Posted April 21, 2008 (edited) i have pre orderd my copy of gta4 on the 02 feb from hmv ,and am goin down 4 midnight opening but wot time should i get there? 10 o clock ? or is that 2 early ? or 11 oclock ? or is that 2 late ? a mean i dont wanna be the last in the Q . Clerk(manager) at Gamestop said for Madden release at midnight they had over 300 games to ring up and it took her 40mins. So when I bought mine a few weeks ago she had like 200 or something. Now I know that all 280 will not be there for the midnight release, but if even half shows up, that is 140 that will pick it up. So I figured, I will get there around 11-11:30, I am patient so I will be fine. Going at 12:15 at a busy release like this would be a horrible idea. You think over 100 can get the game in 15 minutes? The last midnight release I attended was for Super Smash Bros. Brawl where they had 2 registers open and made most everyone pay off their pre-order much earlier. Otherwise, I would just show up around 12:15, and just get in and out. My local Gamestop is a smaller store halfway inbetween two larger gamestop chains. So when I got there around 11:30 for Halo 3 last year, there were maybe 20 people in line infront of me, and maybe 20 behind me at midnight. Weren't that many people at all.
