PS3 to 360 compatability in multiplayer...

Nope, it's impossible. No other multiplatform game has that feature, so I would think I'm right.

Shadowrun and Final Fantasy 11 have a feature like this, except FF XI has it for all 3 consoles (Xbox 360, Playstation, and PC). Shadowrun only comes on PC and Xbox 360.

God f*cking dammit. Alright, so is there any real reason to get the PS3 version? The 360 is cheaper, and that version has more features. Is there any performance benefit to shelling out the extra cash on a PS3?

PS3 comes with a Blu-Ray player built in, and is (I believe) the cheapest Blu-Ray player on the market considering the features the PS3 has compared to the players.

Xbox 360 has the HD-DVD player (HD-DVDs are no longer made), and I believe MS has no plans to make a Blu-Ray player.

PS3 has more potential to be a more powerful system over the Xbox 360 with the cell processors it has in it, but so far no game has actually used all the cells, so the current games all run just the same with Xbox 360.

PS3 has an older Video chip in it, compared to Xbox 360, but whether or not you would notice that is beyond me as I own a X360.

PS3 has a free online service (PSN), where as Xbox Live is $5 a month (or $60 a year), PS3 seems to be playing catch up with the XBL Marketplace, and its been doing good so far.

Right now its up to you, as both consoles are neck to neck when it comes to games. Neither console is better with certain games, neither is worse. PS3 has a + compared to Xbox when it comes to online play, and the Blu-Ray drive in it.

If you watch a lot of movies at home, I'd go with the PS3 as it has the Blu-Ray player in it, if you want to just get the cheapest console and not worry about movies at home, go with the Xbox 360.

Dude, f*ck OFF. If you guys don't want the same questions asked again and again how about you put together a f*cking FAQ? Eh? Oh wait, you're all too lazy, and actually LIKE feeling superior when people ask a question.

Go eat a dick you f*cking cock monkey.

Anyway, to the helpful person, thanks for the response. I was just assuming since the PS3 is so much more powerful than the 360 it might run at a higher FPS, or something like that.

Use the f*cking search function.

It's there for a reason.

That would depend on if the Rockstar team coded GTA IV to run better on the Playstation 3. Seeing as the PS3 has 8 cell processors (7 of which I think devs can use), which are all running at the same speed (3Ghz I think??? Could be wrong on this), it is more powerful, but if GTA IV was only developed to use 2 or 3 of those cells, then it will run the same as on Xbox 360. Xbox 360 has a triple core processor in it (all 3 of which run at 3.2Ghz?), each CPU handles a certain job.

If GTA IV was made to use more of the cells, then yes, GTA IV would run better, but because cell technology is new, not many developers are wanting to take the extra time to do so (because of the extra costs). So most developers make the games run on just enough of the cells to run just as good as on the Xbox 360. When cell technology becomes more common (probably with the next set of consoles both using cell tech.) is when we will see games actually improving.

Rockstar also came out and said GTA IV runs just as good on the X360 as it does on the PS3, so I'm sure it runs just the same on both (frame rate wise).

Considering the recent invention of Graphene (thin graphite layers), which replace Silicon, and the latest invention of the smallest transistor ever made, we may see consoles move back to CPUs, but with way more transistors. It depends on the R&D costs.

Make a f*cking faq you f*cking asshats.

The reason why a FAQ is/will not be made on this subject is due to fan boys maybe not agreeing with the FAQ, and demanding one console be listed better than the other, etc.

I think this is a pretty good, objective comparison of the two consoles. Good luck deciding.

What were you thinking when you asked this question OP?

I was thinking I don't own a 360 because it doesn't really have any games that interest me, and I don't own a PS3 because it doesn't have any games that interest me.

I know nothing about either one of them, or their online services, other than MS is a pretty manipulative corporation, and that I don't like paying monthly to play games I already bought. Because I know nothing about either one, I asked a question, since my friend is getting a PS3, and I was planning on getting a 360.

I despise Microsoft, I use Linux for almost everything I do, and only switch to Windows when I absolutely have to.

However, with Xbox 360, and XBL, I do not mind paying the $5 a month, but then again, thats because I've always had Xbox, and just preferred it over PS2. Not that I dislike PS2, its most likely Halo 1 that got me hooked on Xbox. That's just me though, others may have different reasons why they chose a specific console. The thing that bugs me is the Microsoft Points.

Wow. I just read the whole thing. It really REALLY sucks that Sony is abandoning PS2 support. I have a library of games I don't want to get rid of, and I want to be able to continue to play them when I feel like it. That's REALLY crap that they started out with support of PS2 games, and now they don't. Man.

I wand a Playbox360 or an XStation3. Both systems still suck ass. :|
