vardoom
No way in hell would they give it a 10/10... Bias bastards.. j/k seriously though, I don't think they have given a 10/10 since 1999.

jUVENtUS23
Here ya go... gamespot wow no1 seems 2 like the new gamespot rating system it is pretty rediculous these people mentioned in the comments of that news half point increments are super, super, SUPER, lame. There is a big difference between a 9.3 and a 9.5. When I see Gears of War get a 9.6, that means something. It’s now up there with a RE4. When something gets a 9.7, now it’s up there with Metroid Prime. Now all of those games are going to get 9.5s or worse 10s. Yeah there isn’t much difference between a 6.8 and 7.2, but there is a big effing difference between a 8.8 and a 9.0. I don't like it. I like the way it is with the .1 point increment; so that one game is better than the other one (i.e. 8.6 is better than 8.5, otherwise they both have 8.5 even if the other one is sligthly better). What if one is 8.8 and the other one is 9.2? They'll both be averaged out to 9.0? They're equally good? Nonsense! Why are you guys excited about this? It sounds like they are just dumbing down the rating system. Why would I want .5 increments??? There is a different between an 8.7 and a 9.0 game. You can't just call a game that deserves an 8.7 an 8.5 or 9.0. That's nonsense. I give this news post a 1.5. wow im extremely mad its like they got lazy with the rating system <- - - - - my quote

Rickyricc
yep very dumb idea.. i guess there just to lazy to rate a game to a tee... Now they can say, eh why not just give it a 10 cos its close to perfect instead of maybe a 9.6 or 9.7 and vica versa... Gamespot u are very very lazy my friends.. Destructo
Gamespot and IGN are more professional. Thats why they take longer.

beauedwards
I am hoping for NaN/10. But on a more serious note now, perhaps it will be 9.5 or 10.
SBizz6
San Andreas got a 9.6, Vice City a 9.6, and GTA III also a 9.6. So naturally I would assume it wouldn't be any worse than that, especially with the kind of stuff that the previews and reviews so far have said. My guess... 9.8/
crazyrumer
10 - they are corporate ball suckers. So if they gave Halo 3 9.5 for just being a Halo with zero innovation from previous version. I am pretty sure they will give GTA a 10. Though I hope 2K took reviewers to big ass lunch as well, just to make sure.
Grand Theft Auto Dude
10. What is the point of rating out of 10 of you never use the whole scale? This is going to be the best game ever. But they will probably be tards, and give it the same score as Halo 3.
shamit
should be 10/10 because san andreas got 9.6 and these game seem better then san andreas in heaps of ways so 10/
Amithrarith
9.5/
shady555
only increments of .5 so its gotta be a 9.5. I really doubt they give it a 10/10. But dont look forward to the review anytime soon, cuz knowing gamespot, the review will probably be up around august when the downloadable content comes out. MCFC
If they gave assassins creed a 9/10 and said it had good voice in it (there was no more than 50 lines for random citizens) GTA HAS to get a 9.
Rockteur
These threads sure get buried fast, at one point I saw over a thousand people browsing this forum. I think IGN will give it a 9.8.
skua
well i remember half life 2, 97% from metascore. really good review too, grand theft auto is completley different, they will asses it on the amount of flaws that are in the game, if its glitchy we shold see it in the early 9 mark , if there is nothing then late 9's, hopefully 10. but no game has ever been perfect
NinjaJones
Above a 9.0 for sure IMO. Likely a 9.5 maybe a 10 but at the very least a 9.
Feldar
If san andreas got 9.6, IV will definately get more,so about 9.7-
ak-4seven
10/10 So they changed it to .5s, didn't know that, if they give it 9.5 then f*ck gamespot. Edited April 21, 2008 by ak-4seven
Mister V
By "rate hard" I suppose you mean their idiotic ratings? They've lost any kind of credibility since quite some time. I suppose they'll want to show off and put an 8.5 or something. Maybe they'll give a praise in the review but lower the score for minor glitches, or maybe they'll decide to concentrate on "moral" aspects with a one-page review. How about that? Oh, no, wait, it's been done already. I wonder what they're going to come up with this time.
