azndvl
720p is right.... Could just be a crappy TV? Not to be an ass or anything, but ive never even heard of that brand lol. Or maybe its just how some of those games are supposed to look.
redbaren
is the game old it might be a lower pi which could make that fuzz i guess
DJ88
It's obvious that if he doesn't know what 720p means he either: A. Does not have an HDTV and thinks he does. B. The switch on his video cable is still set to SDTV. or C. His settings are still set to standard def.
heijesus
Hope you are using the compont cables, and not the scart cable:)
tonymac08
its the cable that come with the 360 it has a scart connection and three coloured cablels for hd
Lastrite
It appears the native resolution of the screen is 1440 x 900, so it may have trouble scaling 720P (1280 X 720) correctly. If the TV has a VGA port it might be worth getting a VGA cable for your 360, as I believe there is a greater range of resolutions available when using it. And yes, the component is the one with 3 colored cables for video and 2 white/red ones for audio

Lastrite
If you do get a VGA cable I would recommend using 1360 X 768 in your display settings and everything should look significantly better.
azndvl
I doubt using a VGA cable would make much of a difference. Fact is the games are 720p native, and anyway you put it, youre gonna end up having to stretch that image. I guess all youd be doing is giving the job of upscaling to the 360 instead of the TV. Which might make a difference... but i doubt it'll be worth paying for more overpriced cables. Give it a try and return if it doesnt do much i guess. DJ88
Yeah my bad, didn't see the TV haha. Well then it's most likely B or C Look at your video cable, the one thats going from the xbox to the TV, and find the fat part. There should be a little switch that says HDTV on one side and SDTV on the other. Make sure its set to HD Also in the dashboard (what first comes up when you turn on your xbox that lets you download demos/movies/etc) go all the way to the right where the settings are and go under the TV or display settings. Make sure that 720p is your selected resolution.
tonymac08
my best bet is to set it to 720p then
MOSThatedMONKEY
A) on the hook-ups on the back of the xbox (the ones that connect to your TV as well) make sure to switch it to HDTV B) make sure you have the component cables hooked up (blue, green, and red) instead of the red green and yellow C) go to your dashboard all the way to the far right blade. . under console settings make sure you actually have it set to 720p after that everything should be straight. . . if that still leaves you with a bad picture send the box you bought it in back to the company that made it and make sure there is a bomb in it
