Trund Posted April 21, 2008 Share Posted April 21, 2008 when your marketing anything, your gonna use your BEST representation of the product your trying to sell.thats just facts. use you remarks that M$ "payed" off rockstar to only show 360 footage on there commercials. but its just the fact that the 360 version is the best representation of the product. you can be damn sure that if the game ran better on the PS3 by a noticeable amount that it would be the one they were showcasing. How do you know the TV spot isn't footage from the PS3? After all R* recorded it, and not MS. Sony doesn't need a that huge marketing for GTA4, they have other awesome exclusives coming out this year. And again, yes Microsoft has the TV Spot, but they also advertise the game for Sony in some way. If you walk into the store to buy GTA4 you will still be reminded of the nice PS3 GTA4 bundles laying next to the 360's. So where's the 360 bundle? Oh sorry, I also have to add that the TV Spot is very misleading, as in the end it only advertises the 360 alone, NOT including GTA4. Not even that is going to get back the billions of dollars MS lost on trying to have a share in the console business. They're a big failure, all I can say. But... if you made the argument that the 360 would later on get DLC as opposed to the PS3 not getting anything, that would be valid. EDIT: and if GTA IV would perform better on one console than the other, i doubt the 360 would run it better. (I own a 360 too, just for the record) Well, just for the record.... xXxDIONxxICKxXx Posted April 21, 2008 Share Posted April 21, 2008 FYI to you 360 fan boys, the PS3 has a setting for RGB limited, and SUPER WHITE for SD displays, if you turn these options off for HD displays the games don't have that wash out look, although I have never seen this washed out look in person but I have seen some reviews etc about it. yeah you must buy seperate cables for the hdtv affect for the ps3, not for the xbox 360. xbox 360 has better online, cause of more games, more people, and cause of downloadable content. which includes new missions, guns, etc. 360 has a way more games to choose and more to come. while 360 users getting gta 4, halo 3, call of duty 4, ps3 users are still waiting on the release of the only really good ps3 game. metal gear solid 4 these are just some points that xbox is better than ps3, and don't call me a fanboy cause i have both a ps3 and 360. so..... yeah. AND NO THATS NOT A FANBOY REMARK! its the truth, at the launch of ps3 there weren't any good games. I thought Reistance: Fall of Man was a good game. I heard it was good also . The PS3 has Call of Duty 4 mate. I'm getting mighty sick of 360 players using the "We have more games to choose from" crap. That's because it came out 1 year BEFORE the PS3. Besides the majority of the games on the PS3 you can get for the 360. Alot of the 360's exclusives have been out longer then the PS3 itself. (I own a 360 too, just for the record) You do of course realize GTAIV was developed on and for the Xbox360. It was ported to the PS3. Normally this means the 360 would run/display better (other games that were ported to the 360 would be the opposite). Although, with the extra months of devtime they have had I'm fairly certain they are identical (apart from the color-difference - which is a hardware 'issue'). I was talking strictly about the hardware of the two consoles. Meaning if the two versions were equally optimized and had an equal amount of time/work put in, the PS3 would come out on top in the end, FPS wise, due to the hardware advantage it has. But yea.. i doubt theyre actually different at all, and it mostlikely isnt the reason why there are more 360 screenies. Although im still wondering how people know the current screenshots and videos are from the 360, not the PS3 lol.. Just to clarify, as far as hardware performance goes, PS3 and XBox 360 are virtually identical. As for those dissing the PS3, there's not much substance in your argument. The same goes for anyone who talks about the360's "flaws." As far as exclusives go, both consoles will have their hits.
