Vercetti21
To quote someone, "I don't have anything against homosexuals; I have a thing against fa**ots." This is a good example. Ian McKellen is a very respectable man who is a great performer and is very intelligent, and just happens to be homosexual. Chris Crocker is a fa**ot c*nt that needs to die. That's a good point. Elton John is a great musician and Ellen Degeneres is hilarious, but I can't stand Chris Crocker. It has little to do with the fact that their homosexual, but the feminine voice that certain guys try too hard to pull off in order to make everyone in the room clearly know their gay drives me up the wall sometimes. mark3boyz
I hate how gays label everyone who doesnt approve of homosexual behavior as homophobes. Why assume that they are afraid of homosexuals? Alot of people dont like weeds in their garden but does that make them afraid of weeds? Obviously not... This is a free country and we are all born free. Whether or not you live in a place that recognizes that freedom is another story all together but I digress... How someone chooses to live their life is their own problem not mine. I dont want to boss anyone around but calling me a homophobe for not wanting to let homosexuals get a marraige license doesnt make anysense. Its easy to say that all heterosexuals that dont approve of homosexuality are afraid of homosexuality... but it isnt close to true or even intelligent. SBizz6
I have a gay guy in my physics group in college and he is one of those "blatantly gay" guys. I respect the kid for who he is, but sometimes he does cross the line with the things he infers or the way he acts. I think he has given me the eye a few times, and that makes me feel pretty uncomfortable, but I obviously don't want to say anything because that may seem homophobic, which I am not. It's just kind of a weird situation I guess... In general though, I am fine with gay people and I really could care less what they do in their private lives. Icarus
I don't consider myself homophobic; whatever someone who's gay does in their private life is none of my business. A guy I knew in high school was gay and he told everyone that if you're straight, someone who's gay will likely not hit on you, so that's the main reason I have no problems. As long as I'm not being hit on by someone who's gay, I'm fine, and since I'm sure that won't happen, power to them.

TommyVercetti.
I think pop culture is making it cool to be gay and or metrosexual. So if you are a homophobe you're going to have a sh*tty social life and yoi should stay home. Also I don't think gay dudes can fight, I mean they get all built up and sh*t at the gym but I think they would fight like bitches.

I bet if you gathered 1,000 straight men and 1,000 gay men a similar percentage of each would be able to kick your ass. Being gay doesn't make you unable to fight. Sure plenty are feminine, but plenty of straight men are weak and can't fight as well.

Spectre95
I wouldn't say so. I swear... when I was working for Six Flags in the Entertainment department, 50% of the workers there were gay. 3 of my supervisors were gay, even my LEAD was gay. So I just kinda got used to it. The only gays I can't stand are the one's that act like complete fairies and dress in drag. One example being this guy
Saggy
You know, the problem with asking people if they're homophobic is that most don't realize if they are, or really even have a good idea of what it means to be homophobic. They might not have any problem with gay people, but to say, "I don't have a problem with them as long as they're not attracted to me," is homophobic. I mean, speaking as someone with a very broad sexual palette, I think I could speak for homosexuals and heterosexuals alike when I say: No one gives a flying f*ck about what someone has to think about their sexual desires, because it's not really anyone's business. It's all this "I'm okay with someone as long as they're not attracted to me" that's ridiculous. I mean, then what? Does that just call off any manner of civility? Seriously, if another man being attracted to you is enough to shut down your sense of decorum and social tact, you are indeed homophobic. Anyway, I think it's safe to say that I"m far from homophobic. QUOTE (K^2) ...not only is it legal for you to go around with a concealed penis, it requires absolutely no registration! tuareg
I have nothing against gays. I don't support them that much (imagining what they "do" to each other is gross, sorry), but really, if someone's different let him be.

Oxidizer
I'm not gay - and I don't even think I'm actually bi - but I have done stuff with other guys and I ain't scared or whatever to say if another fella's good-looking or not. Though because of this people do treat me as if I'm gonna jump the bones of every geezer I come into contact with. It's not a queer thing, I'm just wired like every other guy; man-slut-ish, not predatory. Plus I kinda have very high/rare standards with who I experiment with. With females though I'd shag most things (so long as they're A) alive B) over 18 C) given their consent and D) are human beings, of course. I do have morals). Ludo
I suppose I am a homophobe. Before I go further, I am not religious. Although I was brought up as a Catholic, I dislike it and such. Nothing like rapist priests to be an excuse not to go to mass anymore. Homosexuality goes against what I think is the meaning of life, to procreate. That being said, I do not like the whole idea of test-tube babies and like. Also you might think then that I would be against contraception, hell no, contraception for all. Hmm alot more almost spewed out into this comment, but I think I shall leave it there for this thread.

Like it actually demoralizes me to know some fat chick who talks with her fat friends is talking about me. And when the fat gay dude at work appeared interested in me, I treated him just like that chick. Other gays are freakin' awesome, but you saying if you "don't like gays hitting on you, you're a homophobe!" is like you're own fear of rejection. I mean, if you're going to be civil and polite to a woman attracted to you, and then cross and defamatory toward a male that's attracted to you, I think you've probably got some insecurities to deal with. However, if you're cross and defamatory to both, I doubt there's really any hangup there. Though maybe a severe case of narcissism and egotism. Bernard Jazz
I suppose I am a little bit homophobic, although I do have gay friends I just generally hate the idea of same sex relationships.
