Are you a homophobe?

I'm sick of tired of people thinking homosexuality is something to made fun of and that those people who are homosexual should be isolated. Even though I'm not homosexual, I know people who have gone through the trouble of being homosexual and trying to be accepted by the people around them. People should be able to love whoever they want without discrimination. Also, just because a guy is homosexual doesn't mean they like all the guys they see. So I ask the question, are you a homophobe? Do you know homophobes are people that are insecure about their own sexuality?

As long as they aren't attracted to me, I don't have a problem with them.

Same here. I don't mind associating with them, but if they cross the line then I'm done.

I think the answer will probably be No and Yes for most everybody. Homosexuality is one of the last groups to be openly derided within the United States but at the same time I don't see how proactive and somewhat belittling laws to combat homophobia would do.

I am to lazy to be a homophobe. Gay guys don't bother me unless they are in direct contact with me or if they over-do that fake ass effeminate lisp. Besides, if I went out of my way to avoid or be angry about every gay guy I see or meet, how the hell do I plan on hooking up with the hot chick he hangs out with. Everyone knows that all hot chicks have a gay friend.

Be nice to the gay guy and you will get in the girls pants. Thats reason enough for me to not be bother by them. Not to mention the fact that with them going after other guys and not girls, it gives me a better chance to hook up with even more hot girls.

That has nothing to do with homophobia. We all have our limits of how far we are willing to go with any person... or any gender. Hell, even straight guys thinks some girls can go too far.

And for your information, I am not a homophobe. You really expect people who are to come forward? Incidentally, only then does the topic become interesting.

Obviously, no.

Honestly I don't see much of a problem with it depending on the "severity". I can understand that somebody might see two guys kissing and go "ew"... that doesn't bother me. Not even people calling me fa**ot offends me, I just don't like people who are unsure about their own sexuality while judging others. People who go out of their way to make sure everybody knows how much they like titties while calling something gay... it's blatantly obvious these people don't even know what they like while they insult you for what you like.

Otherwise, s'no big deal. Hell, I call my friends (regardless of sexuality) fags all the time. ;p\

Also, campy gays piss me off.

A better reason to be nice to gay people is that its a sh*tty thing to rude to them, being homphobic is the same as being racist. So in the end it's for the betterment of mankind and to maintain co-operation as a whole with everybody else without hate getting in the way. Sorry for being so motivational.

Well, they didn't (and I didn't expect them too) elaborate or whether or not they felt the same way about women.

At the end of the day it's their choice, it doesn't effect my sexuality so I don't see it as a problem.

To quote someone, "I don't have anything against homosexuals; I have a thing against fa**ots."

This is a good example. Ian McKellen is a very respectable man who is a great performer and is very intelligent, and just happens to be homosexual. Chris Crocker is a fa**ot c*nt that needs to die.

As long as they aren't attracted to me, I don't have a problem with them.

I wouldn't care if a gay guy was attracted to me, but I would get pissed if he kept trying to make moves on me if I told him I don't swing that way. It's just as rude as if a guy kept trying to get with a chick and harassing her. I'm not afraid of and I don't feel homosexuality is bad. Everyone can do what they want. I forgot what video it was and who made it, but this guy (pretty sure he was straight, even) said something to the effect of:

"Why do you like the kinds of food you like?

Why do you like a gentle breeze?

Why are you attracted to the opposite sex?

You can't give a definitive answer, it all comes down to you just liking it because it makes you feel good. That's the same way gay people feel towards the same sex"

And it makes sense. I don't know why tits turn me on, but they do.

A very religious friend of mine says allowing gays to get married only opens up the door to other things such as beastiality. I can see where he's going with it, why that but not this, kind of thing. But having sex and marrying a different species is quite different, so I doubt that'd be legalized any times soon.

Bottom line: I don't have a problem with it, just don't disrespect my heterosexuality and we're good.

edit: At the flamboyant gay guys thing... I don't get it, what so ever. Now that you like to suck cock/take it in the rear you talk like that? Doesn't make sense at all to me. It's all a role they put on. It's like a made up accent out of no where, seeing as most gay guys aren't raised by or around gay men, they just act all girlish for some reason.

After all, you don't see many lesbians going around acting super manly. Sure there's the "dykes" (sorry if that's an improper term), but they just keep their hair short and maybe deepen their voice. They don't go as far as gay guys do in switching the way they speak.

Same, I'm flattered if a gay dude hits on me at a party, despite wondering if something made him think I was gay.

Well i'm not really homophobic, but there is this guy that I will not be around. He is obviously gay, he wears skirts and sh*t and he plays around too much. (as in he f*cks with people all the time) Being gay is your choice, but I'm not having some asshole wearing skirts followin me around. So I avoid him. I mean if I'm wrong for that then I really don't give a f*ck. confused.gif

Am I the only one in here that is going to admit to being homophobic?, No just just kidding. I don't see why gays should be treated differently and I do call my friends fagg*ts all the time even though they are not gay. Hell I think some gay guys are pretty funny. This just reminded me that there was a fight at my school beween two gay guys last Friday.

If he f*cks around with people, as in harasses guys in a flirtatious manner while knowing they don't want it, then I believe he deserves a good talking to, if not a nice punch in the face. As I said in my post, it's the same as if a guy was harassing a girl in the same manner, so he deserves a similar treatment. People may say you're gay bashing, but f*ck that, harassing straight people when they know that fact is bull sh*t, they're practically asking for it.

I had a gay friend at work, he was really cool. Never really talked about it, but he did have that gay chick accent. But of course, I looked past it and one time he said "my boyfriend..." and I thought "wtf?!?" at first because he never really mentioned stuff about being gay. Through me off guard for a second, kinda laughed on the inside seeing as how feminine and obviously gay he acted lol.gif

Cool guy though.

Exactly, my friend was going to literally kick his ass one day hen the dude asked him if he wanted his dick sucked. This dude messes with everybody. He hangs out with the girls and you can't do anything to him or the girls will hate you forever. He asks people stupid sh*t, tells you more then you want to know, and talks more sh*t then most straight dudes.

@Picolini: Yeh I know a few cool gay guys, and it is a shock when you find out but sh*t, that doesn't change anything.Also...what happened to the old avatar?

On-topic

For the most part I could care less about what anyone else does. It's really none of my business. No more than it would be my business if someone was attracted to someone based on anything else.

On the other hand, I find anyone (male or female, gay or straight) who feels the need to wear their sexuality on their sleeve kind of annoying. Though I can say the same for most things. As long as you aren't constantly bringing it up, or trying to preach to me about it, it doesn't effect me at all, so why would I care?

I have a gay friend, and he makes jokes about it all the time, but neither of us can stand "fags".

Just because you're gay doesn't mean that you have to act like a women. And it seems like they'll do anything for attention, it's so annoying and predictable.

I dislike gay guys who 'camp it up' and act like gay people on TV sitcoms do. My gay friends call them "TV fags", and avoid associating with them at all costs. You basically couldn't pick these friends as being gay. They laugh, live and drink just like straight folk, but at the end of the day they like dudes. Doesn't concern me any more than my straight friends who like blondes.
