Jayt001
Ask yourself, "is he on commision??" That should answer your question.

Nutmeg
Of course he was trying to get you to buy it, that's his job.
Crayola
How exactly did your conversation go to the midnight launch straight to the guide?
lbeast
OMG HE PLAYED THE GAME, lol . Come on really how the heck would he know.
azndvl
Thats just how salesmen are. You dont need a guide, just like you dont need those retardedly overpriced Monster cables, but hell the salesman says you do!
Elsparko
It's an old tactic, and the reason they do that is because the markup on strategy guides is the highest in the store. They pay practically nothing for them and sell them to you for fifteen bucks or whatever it is now. They try to get you to think you're getting a good deal by giving you 20% off the guide if you buy it at the same time as the game, but you're still getting screwed. I know this because I worked at EB a loooooong time ago. I'm old.
Purplefreez
I think guides are a waste of money. They don't help THAT much...and they cost more then they should.
Beider
You don't want to use the guide for your first play through, as it would ruin it for you probably. And by the time you finish the game and want to grab all the packages and all the secrets for 100% completion there will be plenty of walkthroughs online. So save yourself the money and just head over to www.google.com once you completed the game and want the secrets.
