getoverhere
don't know if this had been pointed out but i read an article on computerandvideogames.com that said mr. ricky gervais is showcasing new and old material in the comedy clubs you can apparently visit. they mocapped the bloke and everything, from what i can gather. check it. comedy clubs are a completely genius idea, IMO. only rockstar would do that. anyone else heard anything about this feature? opinions? MOSThatedMONKEY
and for those that dont know who he is i guess you could say he is most currently remembered as Ben Stiller's boss in "Night at the Museum" you know the guy that always tried to come up with comebacks to make Stiller look foolish but screwed them up making himself look like an idiot he's also in 14 episodes of the Office
getoverhere
yeah, sorry 'bout that he's probably not that famous outside the UK, or am i wrong...? anyway, the guy is a genuinely hilarious stand-up, check him out on youtube if you haven't seen him. if you like that sort of thing. i heard about the comedy clubs and thought it would be the usual GTA satire stuff but to hear real comedians are involved is pretty impressive. its not exactly a coo for GTA considering this monsters going to be the biggest release of the year, but still, its a master stroke. honestly, gervais is a top, top stand-up. his animals routine is classic. and he created the office which is pretty funny. DDR Midian
Just a small point, but you said "old and new" material, and the article I saw said it was all brand new and written specifically for the game.
getoverhere
errr, maybe, i seem to remember it mentioning some stuff from 'animals' was in there (that routines a good few years old). could be wrong. doesn't really matter, though. i've seen all his old stuff so i hope its all new. something cool to run into during the game, but not something that has me particularly hyped. the comedy thing in general though is great. certainly unique, once again rockstar is pushing the boundaries. Elsparko
Gervais is pretty popular in the U.S., but probably to the more 30-something crowd. "Extras" did pretty well on HBO over here, and most people who are big fans of the American version of "The Office" watched the original version on BBC America. Truly one of the funniest guys out there today.
getoverhere
extras kind of sucked, in my opinion. i'm not a thirty something. its definitely his stand-up that made me a fan. he won shedloads of awards for the office but give the man a stage and a microphone and hes a funny, fat little f****r. and his comedy is very suited to GTA in that situation.
