GTAser
It is the same game on both systems. Simple as. Whichever console you have most friends on, to play online with, select that one. Plus, after it's been out for a while you can be sure there will be some form of DLC for the PS3, albeit not the exclusive DLC that M4 has purchased. surely not an entire city or something of that scale
.Up&Coming.
I'm thinking PS3 would have better framerate, but the difference is probably almost non-existent. Pick whichever controller you like best for GTA games. ya but the 360 controller is better for shooters how the aiming system works im porbly going to get it for obth systems see what i like better on I've never played Xbox tbh, so I wouldn't really know about the controls. I always thought the controller looked awkward, but maybe I should try it. Actually, once I think about it...it can't be anywhere as awkward as this:
Gta IV King
Get the 360 version... You'll beable to talk to people aswell online as most people who use PSN don't purchase headsets...

I can't imagine it being an entire city or anything near what the 360 will receive due to the amount of money M$ invested in securing its exclusivity. It's as if you only meet the bastard scum of the lowest end of the lowest end of the lowest end of town, online. Tough, the typical hatred between Americans and Brits over Xbox LIVE is priceless. I loved N64 though.
DDR Midian
I would assume that the 360 would have better frames rates (only if one were to be better than the other) because the PS3 version is probably a port. They're the same, fact. If anything, it started on PS3, so the 360 would be a port. Not that that even makes any difference at all. Actually, the 360 was the lead console for GTA4. "Lead console" does not mean it's ported to the other. Criterion spent a good 5 minutes on their Burnout Paradise podcast telling people to shut the f*ck up about this. The game is developed/designed/edited on bog standard PCs, then ported into each consoles respective dev kits. You just need to choose one console to lead so you have something to check the other with.
Robioto
IMO, if you have both systems you would be a little stupid to not get the 360 version. There will be very little difference out of the box but the 360 has the extra downloadable content.

DDR Midian
Console choice should always be a personal thing. Everyone has different ideas about what the pros and cons of each are, and some people take certain pros and cons a lot more seriously than others. Asking for this kind of advice is almost like coming in here and asking people to tell you what your favourite colour is.
sattizahn
It's personal. I have both systems, but I prefer the feel of the XBOX controller. There's also the added bonus of DLC. However, you might like the feel of the PS controller better. It won't drastically change your life. In fact, I'll probably end up getting them for both systems

Starion
Get the 360 one new, then wait a small while and get it on the PS3 used for half the price. So thar we go, GTAIVdom on both consoles. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.

Get the 360 one new, then wait a small while and get it on the PS3 used for half the price. So thar we go, GTAIVdom on both consoles. That was my plan. Although I think personally I'd much prefer the game on the 360, I may end up buying a PS3 a couple of years down the line, in which case I might as well pick up GTA IV while I'm at it. Actually, the Anti Aliasing is meant to be just a tiny bit better on the ps3, whereas the lighting effects are a tiny bit better on the 360. So it's personal opinion.. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.

Everyone that remembers the DMC4 demo knows the whole fiasco about the PS3 not having real anti-aliasing and instead covering it up with blur effects. But seriously, I know about the small differences, but there's a plus side to each one... so I was just saying that his opinion of one being better isn't fact. I wouldn't have minded at all if he didn't add that part on the end.
Crazy Asian
^^ For fake AA, lots of games seem to be doing that, especially games with HDR lighting. I dunno how the PS3 does AA, but the 360's AA is done through the hardware (if you get what I mean). i am more comfortable with the ps3 controller so ill play it on that and ive heard the graphics r suppose to be a tad bit better not fanboyism just the facts my fury freinds STFU with your fake facts you dirty fanboy. For PS3, the AA will be just two samples higher than the 360, but the lighting for both will be the same. The other difference is in the colors. The PS3 being more drab and dark while the 360 will be more vibrant and bright. Either way, there's nothing wrong with tuning your TV color settings to suit your needs/preferences.
