It does annoy me that people have to sort of explain Rockstar's position by making up excuses for them. If something is not in its probably because A) Its unrealistic and B) Its pointless. Oh and C) No one cares. C is very, very popular among the members of this site.

 

Why?

 

Theyre all potentially fun aspects to the game. Is having MORE fun really an issue? Parachutes arent in because its a cheap thrill? In a game emphasizing vertically? Really?

 

The phone-radio feature being pulled out of the game: Thats news to me. But its out because you can play your own music on the 360 dash? Well thats fine and sh*t, but that still doesnt give me the opportunity to listen to THEIR music outside of a car. Unless I run beside a car blasting their music. Seems reasonable.

 

To top them off the very present "Dont buy the game than" comes up. All the time. Whether the OP is being reasonably put off or not.

 

But hey, you guys keep doing what you do if it helps you guys sleep at night.

To the OP:

 

I don't feel that omitting parachutes and removing custom soundtracks is really a step backwards. No one here can explain why they were left out of the game, they know less than you do. All that can be said for sure is that if these changes are enough to prevent you from buying the game perhaps you can wait for the PC version and request a mod that puts these back into the game.

What people don't want to understand is that Rockstar had to draw the line somewhere, and that line is parachutes. They don't want Niko parachuting out of helicopters or off tall buildings because it would compromise the character too much, and they're trying to tell a more realistic f*cking story this time. This seems to be obvious and understandable to anyone with a modicum of intelligence.

 

I guarantee you the only reason helicopters are in the game at all is because you whiny little bitches would cry incessantly about it if they weren't. So they put helicopters in, and they even put them in MULTIPLAYER, and you cry because there are no parachutes. Un-f*cking-believable.

 

Then again, you're the types of people who actually cry about a small HUD, too, when HUDs are supposed to be small.

Lets get the obvious out of the way, this game will be savage, but R* has taken too many steps back.

 

First of all i understand why there are no planes it makes sense but will someone tell me why there are no parachutes? why there are no custom soundtracks?(if it was on the first xbox how can it not be on the far superior next gen consoles),and now you cant listen to music on your phone which was a great idea.

all i hear from a lot of people here is sh*t like "custom soundtracks would ruin the atmosphere of the game" that is total bullsh*t it's not like they didnt delay the game for 6 months. surely i'm not alone.......am i?

 

if your gona flame me then please give me crystal clear explanations why.

well if ur playin on the 360, then no matter what you can have a custom soundtrack, just open the dashboard and play your own music, best thing is, it still plays when your walking around. thats just another reason why the 360 is... well i dont have to say it. yall know what i meen.

Well you can just play music through the xbox360 dashboard.....has nothing to do with the game so...that's that fixed, parachutes? meh don't care...
