soundamia
Don't know if it's old but i'll put it up. http://www.gtagaming.com/gtagaming/news/comments.php?i=1301 Quote: "Some time ago, a number of magazines reported that you'd be able to listen to music while you walk around the streets of Liberty City using GTA IV's cell phone. Unfortunately, EGM has now confirmed that this feature has been axed from the final version of the game."
beast^-^
I can live with it. Would probably never use it anyway...
Obey
so put on a cd, or plug your ipod into your xbox/ps3.
Hakanku
I don't mind it not being there, tbh I probably would have stopped using it after a couple hours of playing, and would prefer listening to the live city, the chit-chat of peds, the realistic bass of passing cars etc, its more interesting and not as scripted/obvious whats going to be said once you have heard it enough times. Shanghai
I'd rather take in the sounds an dsights of the city (passing someone using a payphone, listening to ped conversations) then blaring music. itll still be fun driving down the highway in a police chase with hard rock on, but theres a time and a place for music. DrAKeN3D
I find listening to music when it's out of context quite distracting... so I dont care!

Smiley001
This is isn't big news since the earlier title's never featured music on foot, so we're pretty used to it...
DieScream
Some of my favorite memories in the GTA games is just stopping and listening to the radio and laughing my ass off. I liked this feature to be honest (the on-foot cell radio), as a rockin' sound track is great when on foot blasting ped and cops till they take me down. I'll live. L33t Masta
I don't believe it. Otherwise why the cellphone upgrade?

Mafiozo
well, that feature was avaliable in Scarface and I never really used it. I like the thought of taking an elevator to the top of The empire state building (forgot how its called in LC) and listening to the Jazz station while admiring the view in the night-time, but generally, I don't think it's such a necessity. it's better to experience the sound of the city like someone said. beside, I remember reading that you can hear muffled music from the radios of cars passing by. probably clubs and bars in some. AaronMc
would of been nice, could of had headphones in or something, and this blocks out background noise slightly. Ah well. Not a great miss, just gives more of an excuse for driving. And as previously said it wil be good to hear the peds talking.
