HMV, Reliable?

I just wanted to know if anyone has preordered games from HMV before, and whether they are particularly reliable with deliveries. I only bought standard free delivery so I'm not sure if it'll will be delivered earlier as its a preorder or if I really will have to wait 3-5 business days =[[ I also bought the special edition, so it won't fit through the door anyway, because by the time i came to preorder it, everywhere online had run out of standard edition preorders and HMV had it cheapest (Not to mention as a massive fan, I was looking for a good reason to get the SE =PP)

Dunno, but you could try Tesco's. They seem decent enough. £39.97 for the game and free delivery.

I think it might be because we're both called Luke lol.

And I've already paid for it, I'm just a bit worried that I'm gonna be waiting days and seeing it in shops and thinking, "Why didn't I just wait??"

Well I pre ordered from HMV but I'm going to pick it up at 9am

They've put a message up now, saying that they can't sell anymore preorders because they can't be sure they'll get there on time, so that's reassuring.

I have my pre-order with HMV UK too for the Playstation 3 (Special Edition) luckily I have been after that since the announcement. The shortage of the regular copies doesn't bother me. For £60.00 I doubt think you can go wrong and I consider myself a big fan of the Grand Theft Auto series

 

I was going to stick to my GAME pre-order but I figured it wasn't all that worth it as there is no more of a guarantee getting it the day before release plus the Special Edition on GAME UK is full price. (I try get everything I buy at the best price )

 

I phoned up HMV costumer services the other day and a man said to me they will aim to dispatch pre-orders for the game before the weekend or something and the game should be received by those who pre-ordered on Tuesday, 29th April (release date).

 

In my order section of the HMV site it -says Preordered not yet issued by supplier I expect you guys have the same order status.

 

I have changed my pre-order so much it is ridiculous as long as it comes close to the release date I can't moan.

you should pick it up in store instead. from what ive heard most shops have plenty copies left and it means youll be guaranteed it on release day. u need to be 18 though

plus theres always the chance of long ass lines

I've preordered the Special Edition with HMV.

 

I was concerned having never preordered with them before, so I emailed them and asked if I was likely to receive my copy on release day, and they said they always despatch games 1-2 days early so that they arrive at your door on release day, or so that's the aim any way. So really it's down to H.M. Royal Mail, unless they use a courier

 

I'm still hopeful anyway
