If no one is at my house, until 3pm, will the postman take the game back and try again on wednesday...Or will he post it (considering if it will fit) Im greatly worried about this because No one will be at home, and ill get home earliest at 3...any ideas?

p.s...And the postman never hides it somewer or gives it to my neighbor (dont ask why) any ideas?

Skip school. It doesn't appear to be doing anyone on this part of the forums any favours, anyways.

As long as it isn't the special edition, then yeah, he'll post it straight through your letterbox. There's more than enough room.

All of my games (including GTA: SA, if it makes you feel any better. tounge.gif) were simply dropped through my letterbox. You'll be fine. smile.gif

If you're still unsure, get an empty DVD case and put it into an envelope. Post it through your letterbox and laugh at why you got so worked up over it.

I work as a postman and if the packet doesn't need a signature it will be put through your letterbox. However...if it does need signing for it'll get taken back to the delivery office and he won't attempt to deliver it the following day unless requested by you, it'll be stored at the office for 3 weeks to give you chance to either collect it or request re-delivery.

P.S We aren't allowed to leave the package with neighbours or put it somewhere "safe" because that is a sackable offence.

If you are worried i'd recommend on delivery day leaving a note on your door asking the postman to leave the package with a specific neighbour, we are allowed to do that if requested by you.

Hope that helps.

They either:

  • leave the game in wrapping and company wrapping at your door somewhere.
  • Leave a card in your mailbox, and you pick it up from a local post office.

Or they'll do what Mr. Postman said up above; take it back to the office and try again the next day.

(This is the exact reason I don't like dealing with postage; when Rockstar sends me stuff from the 'States, the UPS driver has to come by my apartment three times -- knowing full well that I'm not in, seeing as we've spoken personally before -- and leave a message, then go back to the depot and drop my package off. I never end up getting it until I hop a bus and get to the depot myself to pick it up.)

No we won't leave it anywhere unless requested to do so as i've already said, we lose our jobs for that, what if the package went missing? Who would you blame then? The postman, that's who.

I am actually quite lucky myself as I work at my local delivery office so I can just pick mine up from work on tuesday morning, no midnight queuing and no waiting anxiously for the postie to turn up.

Really? Makes sense I guess.

A delivery guy once left a £60 package behind my car (parked in my driveway) last year. Just left it there. I didn't know it was there until I went out into my back garden and through my big side gates to get to the car about 6 hours after I came in.

Yes it will, I order from Amazon all the time and, as I said i'm a postman, so I can safely say that a game from Amazon WILL fit through your letterbox.
