Its a bit of a waste for them to have gone to all that trouble putting such awesome sounds in the game for us then to just put music over it and not hear any of it. Thats what I think. Wasnt any need for it if you didnt wanna listen to in0game radio... tbh i agree though ... when your walking theres probably soem action going on so you wouldnt want music blasting from your speakers, you'd want to hear all the cool subtle sound effects they've implemented. The guy is a trained soldier and he knows there are people out to get him; stifling his sense of hearing would be an idiotic thing to do -- he needs to be aware of his surroundings at any given time. Anybody who gets so involved in GTA that they forget they're playing a game probably shouldn't be playing it anyway. I agree that it won't be a big deal for the first thousand or so hours but it's the second thousand that we'll be sick and tired of the sounds and in-game music.
