josh995
On this board, where it shows what time someone made that post, it says some crazy number, like 00:54 or 17:23 or whatever. Well, I know that stands for time, but 24 hour time. I want 12 hour time, and I can't find where to change it! I can only find where to change the time zone. Is there a way to get it to 12 hour time? Cursed
Yes, take 12 off the 24 hour time. Yes, take 12 off the 24 hour time. 17:00 - 12:00 = 5:
Svip
You don't? If you can't read 24 hour clocks, you don't deserve to be here. 24 hour clocks takes up less space, because you don't need to make room for AM/PM, they are not vague and misleading, I mean what the f*ck is 12:00 AM anyway? And how quickly can you tell the difference between 02:05 AM and 02:05 PM? 02:05 and 14:05 is a lot easier. Also moved to Network Support.

Vive La France
I myself prefer the 24 hour clock, as it is universal and not just the US like the 12 hour.

Actually, that's a common argument for the 24 hour clock, however I do know you mean with regard to the forum, not looking at a clock to get the time Just knowing it is day or night is an automatic am or pm when you look at the clock. The 12 hour system is pretty solid in that you will never mistake 10pm for 10am. It won't happen. You won't even compare the two; truly one is 10 and one is 22. And you automatically know it when you get used to the am/pm/12 hour face. It's cool because you tell time with actual feelings and responses, reactions, instead of "this hour is this number, that one is that one." It heightens your perception of time, the 12 hour clock, by mending with your "knowingness", not just dictating the time "It Is". This topic taught me to count the 24 hour clock properly <3 Meaning, subtracting 12 is going to be sooooo much easier then counting up from 12 with my fingers and using whichever I stopped at hahahahahaha. I think one of these are in order:

makeshyft
Excuse me... what? I am equally confused. These days, nobody should be counting on their fingers to figure out the time on a 24-hour clock. I'd comment on the paragraph about 'responses' etc, but I think it melted my brain.
derty
I suppose just one more of these and a little of would sum it up.

FCUK!
Yea this has been bothering me too. Any way to change it? Didn't I just tell you no? You cannot, keep whining, we won't change it. Give me some of this! You aren't a very good mod. You're a complete ass. Anyways, um, it's really easy to tell the difference between 12:00AM and 12:00PM. It takes...... .5 of a second...... Different countries, different clocks, I guess, because for me it's much easier to have 2:05AM and 2:05PM rather than 14:05 or whatever. And also you said just because he can't read 24 hour time he doesn't deserve to be here? Well, I think for your completely rude and inconsiderate reply, you don't deserve to be a mod. You're supposed to be helpful, all you had to say is "You can not do this, sorry." Instead, you were very, very rude. I have half the sense to report you to a higher up, but I don't know where to begin, so whatever. Edited April 22, 2008 by FCUK!
Saggy
I have half the sense to report you to a higher up, but I don't know where to begin, so whatever. Svip has maintained the same demeanor you see here, even well before the staff even made him a moderator. I doubt they're going to revoke that decision because he made fun of someone that can't tell time. As for not being helpful This topic taught me to count the 24 hour clock properly <3 He also answered the original poster's question: No, it is not possible.
