Aah the cyberpunk look is coming to life. Imagine that...entire false landscapes inside one building. Parks...hills...rivers...even homes and stores. If this ever happens it'll be quite incredible.

Ya it has rivers, but does it have water parks?

You really wanna slide from a platform 3 Kilometers straight above?

My one's bigger. sly.gif

On a serious note, though this looks cool, I think the US really want the title of the worlds tallest tower, The one in chicago used to be, till I think china built a bigger one, Now they built a bigger one again.

Lol.

Yeah they'll be like: "Wow, pop, that's amazing!" Then return to a non-sarcastic state and continue their virtual reality lives.

The topic title is misleading. It sounds like it will be decades before a building even approaching that size is buildable.

It could also prevent you from ever having grand kids if you don't land properly tounge.gif

Erm, or they could just build more of those schools and parks OUTSIDE, you know, so we can see sunlight.

Of course not! Everyone knows that sunlight is bad for you, didn't the government propaganda get to you!? confused.gif

This is all about the age old 'mine's bigger' competition.

Well yes, there is that slight problem. Land on your side and you should be fine smile.gif

That will take ages to build though. We won't be seeing it any time soon, but it still sounds cool though. I'd be too scared to use the big slide though. tounge.gif

A journey to the 500th floor will take 9 minutes and 40 seconds.

Thats a few minutes of my life wasted on on elevator. And why a river? is it going to be like some sort of hotel or metropolis? lol

I wonder if in the future there will be many of these buildings. And if every building will have their own sports teams. Like the 452 63rd street Bears.

Really it'll just be a mini city inside a huge ass building. I remember somewhere in Japan they wanted to build this huge city just in the bay of some city, but it was in a huge glass structure. It looked awsome, but the major problem was the frequent Tsunami's and stuff that affected the area.

This, if it ever does happy, would be quite cool to say the least.

Too bad it's ugly as ass. And the company's website is right sh*t too; I don't trust their architectural skills if they can't even design a half-decent website.

Some stats anyway:

Project Owner: None

Location: Any densely populated urban environment

Date: 1991

Cost: $150,000,000,000.00

Population: 1,000,000 people

Exterior surface area of building: 150,000,000 square feet

Enclosed volume: 53,000,000,000 cubic feet

Square footage: 1,500,000,000

Total enclosed acreage: 39,000 acres

Elevator speed: 20 feet per second (13 miles per hour) 9 minutes and 40 seconds to reach the top floor from the ground floor.

Dimensions: Height--10,560 feet; Diameter at the base--6000 feet; Number of stories--500;

Total Square Feet: Approximately 5,000,000 square feet

If they build that... thing in New York, I'm gonna have to kill someone.

And check it's name, "Ultima Tower", I knew the Japanese were behind all this...

I honestly doubt we will be seeing the Two mile high "Ultima" tower in our life time. I don't think a project of that scale is economically feasible at this point in time.

Wow that thing is ridiculous. You wouldn't catch me dead in it either...

The Moscow tower is way cooler looking anyways.

Thats a very good point actually. Especially as the economic situation seems to be going from bad to worse.
