Otter
If you started a download, and your broswer screwed up, you'll have to wait a while. Rapidshare can be a real pain in the ass if you're not a paying user.

Girish
I have a dynamic IP and just reset my connection everytime I have maxed my free dl. That's exactly what I do. It's a great way of downloading files without having to wait for a long time between successive file download. The catch - you need to have a dynamic IP. Statutory Ray
I have a dynamic IP, and to be honest it's pretty tedious, especially when you have programs running that also need an internet connection. Not to mention there are loads of sites better and faster than rapidshare for hosting files freely.

I made a little batch script that resets my IP just for this, it is somewhat annoying but it's the best I can do.
anus
Don't you have to delete the cookies Rapidhshare stores too? Or is just resetting the IP enough? I've been resetting my IP AND deleting Rapidshare cookies all this time
Rocketkiller
I've never needed to delete cookies, but that was a while ago so they might've changed something.
Crokey
Could also be that some nearby (Geographically) is downloading off Rapidshare as Rapidshare tends to block by IP Ranges, so if you are using a old DSL service (like BT use in the UK) that has been converted from Analogue phones lines then someone whose connection is routed via the same exchange as you, could be sucking it all up... So do you have any peadobear looking folk living nearby downloading k-pr0n.
