Rock$tar are trying to take out things in the game that make it less realistic - the old HUD's were too big and took up too much of the screen. I still won't complain about it but I think I like the look of the old one better, I don't like change but I'm sure I'll get used to it (I still never got used to the health BAR >.< numbers were better imo).
